This is a partial recreation of the English TV show game Countdown, also known in Australia as Letters and Numbers. If you have not played it before, and don't want to read the rules properly then you should watch these. Struggled to find any full episodes of the actual English version on YouTube probably due to copyright.

My recreation takes you through a series of rounds, starting with a numbers round, where you aim to reach a target number with your given numbers, a series of letters rounds where you attempt to make the largest word possible from the randomly generated letters and the game ends with a conundrum where you have to unscramble a word. Points are calculated automatically, though you can check the admin tab for more information.

To check out how to play the Transformice version, click each of the tabs where there are instructions to the game host, i.e. the admin/s, and how to play each individual round. Alternatively, use !commands in-game and read the sections carefully. To set yourself as a game host add yourself to the settings.admins table - this is important, you can't play without a game host. Also make sure two people minimum, which can include the host, do !join Suggestions are welcome.
Within the numbers game, you are given a series of numbers, in which you may use the number only once, and the basic operations: +, -, * and / to arrive as close to the target number as possible. You don't have to use every single number. The closer to the target number you are, the better it is. You are awarded 10 points for reaching the target number, and 9 if you are one away, and so on until you are 9 away which only warrants one point. 0 points are awarded to any other guess. Scores are displayed highlighted, such that scores that don't count are displayed in red.

To submit your guess you can either do ! {your number here} without the {} or you can use the UI by clicking on the numbers, and an operation, and using intermediary values to make up the score. This is not perfect, and I might rework it sometime in the future. You can use "C" to clear and reset your guess, or you can simply just type ! {your number} in the chat like ! 444 if you are frustrated; it will mean your answer will need confirmation with the game host though as it will show underlined on the chat.

The letters game involves making the largest word, present in a dictionary of the choice of the game host, for English I recommend the Oxford or Merriam-Webster online dictionaries when checking word validity, and submitting it by doing ! {word} without the {}. Ensure to put a space in between the ! and the word, otherwise everyone will be able to steal your word. There are possible plans for auto-checking words, but it'll depend on the Lua character limit.

Points are autocalculated when the admin adjudicates a win, the points are equivalent to how many letters your word has, i.e. the word cats = 4.

The conundrum round is essentially a word scramble, letters will be again displayed to your screen but this time a nine letter word will be scrambled up and the first one to unscramble it gets ten points. Guessing the conundrum ends the game, as does elapsing the time limit for the conundrum.

The host holds an important job, and should be the one to 100% read this guide. They are responsible for starting the game, marking people's answers, and determining when to move to the next rounds. Familiarising themselves with the commands is a must.

To start the game type !start
To mark people's answers you may either do !win {username} without the {} or you may click on a person's username on the displayed submitted answer at the end of each answer. Both will automark. If you make a mistake commands such as !add username {pointstoadd} or !sub username {pointstosubtract} or !adjust username {rawpoints} are useful - thus make sure to know how the scoring actually works in the game. Watching the YouTube videos are probably the best, I hope, or even better if you're in the UK use Channel 4's online player to watch the actual Countdown game. A !winall command is provided too for ease if there's a lot of people playing. You can use it and it will not count invalid guesses highlighted in red, however if there are invalid guesses which are say not in the dictionary, or the player made a mistake in the method, then do not use this command.

The code is pretty bad imo, I hacked most of the code together, if there are any glitches please report them to me and I'll try fix them. What's important is that I am probably still developing this script as long as my IRL is not too hectic, but I cannot 100% guarantee it. You are free to modify the code and make it better or whatever. Things I hope to add include a much much better UI for the numbers, auto-marking using a dictionary for the letters and a much better UI. The UI is really hacked together because I don't like UI programming so much and I don't have too much time to code.
