TFM staff is not linked whatsoever to the new site that CFM is moving to.

It is being done by volunteers for free because they were wanting to create something new that is being taken care of properly, Sourdough (the creator of CFM) has been gone for close to a couple of years now, and CFM hasn't been tended to since her flight.

The people working on the new website has been posting new things regularly in the thread, read the comments. They are waiting on the new site developers to find an appropriate method to register to the site, so there is no issue with username theft. I'm sure they'll post more when the time is ready.

So, what is the new page that will replace CFM?

As far as I'm aware, I don't believe the new name of the site has been announced yet either (unless it has been in the last couple of days).

okay but for registration, can't they do the same thing micetigri does, with pm'ing the bot on the official forums or ingame?

i will offer some insight based on a similar situation on another forum
membership on that forum was dying to the point that there would only be 1 or 2 users online at a time
6 months before that we would easily peak at 100 users
the founder of that forum stopped communicating with the users and eventually the staff members shut the forum down
a former moderator at the forum decided to create an offshoot of the old forum and user counts were on their way up
that forum died too a few months later

i am placing my bets on this more likely happening than not happening to cfm's successor
basically do not expect miracles

apparently some people have been saying that as well. have not experienced a forum dying before so i have no idea how it'll go but i have no high hopes for it. unless they are able to advertise it as a better managed cfm or micetigri then it really might die as soon as it starts

As has been explained by Minkee, CheeseForMice is an unofficial fansite and nothing to do with the official Transformice staff, so you won't get any different a response here than has been given in the thread that you linked in the opening post.
