Is the gifting system working correctly after today's update ?

Well I wanted to send a gift to a stranger and forgot to input "#0000" and it looks like fraises were taken from my account and nothing else happened -> a gifting person didn't receive her item and I didn't receive any confirmation.

So I believe even if there is only one mouse with specific name, I have to add #0000 while gifting ?
