It's a highly unpopular opinion, but at higher skill levels divine mode basically mimics hard mode to the letter, while being less powerful and therefore having less capabilities. Easy mode is plain overpowered. Therefore, I say hard mode. |

Force_shaman a dit : I find hard mode more op than easy, depending on the rooms you play in. If you have a bridge totem and you're in vanilla, you basically have a solution to every map. Whereas with easy mode, it takes more time and thought to construct something. Dernière modification le 1523385240000 |

i like easy because red nail bridge (RNB) |

building wise i prefer hard, even although it usually lacks range while divine mode has automatically incredible range to make things more flexible without moving far. still, im mostly down playing hard mode. easy mode just doesnt appeal to me to play it over hard since there isnt really any much of a great difficulty increase |

It's called Normal Mode why can't people get it right? There has to be a Normal mode for a Hard mode to exist! In all seriousness, I play on hard mode. My totem is a red-nail plank. The reason for playing hard mode is the experience bonus, and I don't want to try Divine because I think it's too hard. Plus, I want to keep the divine saves count on my profile as zero. |

I chose the divine mode from habit to play on it. It is not much different from a difficult one, but... I think that both modes are theoretically the same. |

Hard mode with ladder totem. Spart a dit : I don't think it's true, even for vanilla. I still prefer using my ladder totem, I find it more versatile than a bridge, in most maps. It's really rare that I can't use it effectively, in these cases a bridge would not help either. Usually it's art maps or just maps with so many things in them that feel like an underground complex. Kazray a dit : Hello, fellow zero-diviner here, haha. I do have about 120k hard mode saves though... I forget how many. Dernière modification le 1523702040000 |

Barberserk a dit : The thing that makes a bridge totem so powerful is that it extends far beyond your normal range, granting control over the entire map immediately. Although less common, a ghost bridge is even more powerful than a solid one because it's able to do this on basically every map without blocking anything. |

But most of the time your bridge is either too long or too short to bridge the gap. The most common thing I notice with bridge totems is people are misplacing them, blocking parts of the map, making the planks glitch... It's a rare sight to see one placed where it can fit properly. I still believe a ladder totem is more convenient, it's harder to build upwards than horizontally, and I can instantly make bridges with extra long planks and the b plank or a super strong ghost anvil if need be. Now imagine the fuss you need to build from the bottom of the map to some high place, or the opposite... It's less simple right? And you can't always just use springs. For Barberserk, on why a ladder totem isn't as useful as a bridge totem. Barberserk a dit : That's why you would make your bridge totem short to avoid blocking parts of the map, using only two short planks/one long plank and a cloud. Basically creating probably the sturdiest horizontal structure you can have in Hard mode, and one of the most effective. Of course, the short bridge totems are for Normal room usage. Barberserk a dit : Here's a few examples of bridge totems working just fine on both Normal and Vanilla maps.
Barberserk a dit : In my honest opinion, building upwards/downwards is the most basic thing you can do as a shaman as you have more support than trying to build a suspended bridge over a massive gap. Again, here's my two cents with images provided to display how easy it is to build upward and downward in less planks than you need for your whole totem.
It just depends on how you build and how quick you are with problem solving, every mode is great equally. Normal mode being one of the most overpowered, Hard close to being just as overpowered, and Divine being pretty similar to Hard in terms of raw building as Force_shaman said. I personally really like Divine. |
