Welcome to the Transformice's Discord Server thread! This thread was created as a guide on how to use the Transformice Discord, as well as a place to ask any questions you may have related to it. If you want to discuss anything related to the forums, it should be posted here. If you have any questions related to the game, it should be posted here. If you want to make a suggestion related to the Transformice's Discord server, it is allowed to post it here or in the #suggestions channel. Feel free to ask any questions related to the Transformice's Discord server here! But first please make sure to read the other sections to see if the questions are not related to the game or forum itself. If you think there is a question that should be added to the FAQ, please contact a Sentinel and it will be considered! Feel free to post answers to questions that other users may have. A while ago, admins used IRC to keep in touch with their players but over the years they realised that maybe it was not the best way to keep a direct contact between the staff and the players. So they created a Discord Server where you can talk with players from all communities, including staff members.If you want to enter the Transformice’s Discord Server click here.
When you first enter the server you will be redirected to the #announcements channel. On the left side, you have a list of all channels. It is mandatory to follow the rules in the Server Rules tab and also in the channel #rules. There are eight text channels and two voice chat channels where people can talk about different topics.
II. Roles • Staff Roles Admins, Moderators, Sentinels and Mapcrews are separated from the others by a special role with the same colour as in-game: Admins have red, Sentinels green, Moderators yellow and Mapcrews blue. FunCorp members have a specific role with the same colour as in-game (orange) but they are not separated from the rest because they aren't part of the Staff anymore. • Discorderators Discorderators are discord moderators, who help, moderate and keep the chat clean. They are part of Transformice’s discord staff, but they are not necessary staff members in-game or on the forum. They are separated from the others by a special role with this colour. • Twitch Subscribers People who are subscribed on Twitch to Atelier801 will get the role Twitch Subscriber. They are not separated from the rest. • Verified People who validate their account get this role with this colour separated from the rest as well. The validation of your Discord account (https://staff.atelier801.com/discord) gives you extra benefits like using the community chat and posting content such as images. Verifying your account also gives other users extra credibility by confirming that your identity is genuine. It is not mandatory to validate, but it's recommended. The moderators have the right to enforce validation of a certain user on demand in case they notice any suspicious behavior. • Community Roles If you want to access your community text and voice chat channels to speak in your language with other players from your community, you have to react with your flag in #welcome channel.
IDENTITY • The nickname you use on this server must correspond to your username on Atelier 801 Claiming to be someone else is not tolerated. Impersonating staff members will get you kicked from this server automatically and repeated offenses will result in a ban. • Validating your discord account is not mandatory unless asked otherwise The validation of your Discord account (https://staff.atelier801.com/discord) gives you extra benefits like using the community chat and posting content such as images. Verifying your account also gives other users extra credibility by confirming that your identity is genuine. It is not mandatory to validate, but it's recommended. The moderators have the right to enforce validation of a certain user on demand in case they notice any suspicious behavior. BEHAVIOR • No spamming Flooding the chat, regardless of content type, and repeatedly sending content that is completely irrelevant to the other chat participants, is not tolerated. • Speak the language of the community channel you are in This server is split into multiple channels, separated by community. Please speak the appropriate language in the community channel you are in. The main language of the international #chat is English. This means that you are allowed to speak a different language but without exaggerating it, especially if there is already a community channel specifically designed for that specific language. • Excessive swearing, flaming, harassing or insulting other members is not tolerated Be respectful to others and treat them the way you want to be treated. Insults, discrimination of any form, defamation or provocation attempts will result in a punishment. • Evading your ban is not permitted under any form We hope this was an obvious one. Using a different account to circumvent your ban is not tolerated. If you want to appeal your Discord ban, please contact a staff member on the forum. CONTENT • No advertisements On this server, you are not allowed to post any advertisements. This includes your (or someone else's) website, forum, Facebook page, YouTube channel or any other Discord server that is not affiliated with Atelier 801. Sharing any kind of content that can generate personal benefits (like paid-to-click sites) is not tolerated either. • Do not post any inappropriate, illegal, pirated or malicious content The PG-13 rating applies here. From Internet links to images and videos, sharing inappropriate or malicious content is strictly forbidden. • Use an appropriate avatar The avatar you are using on this server must also comply with the PG-13 rating. If you want to remain on this server, you must use an appropriate avatar. OTHER • The moderators of this server have the right to take actions as they see fit There may be some situations that are not covered by this set of rules but require the intervention of a Discord moderator. They are here to protect the community, so please follow their instructions if they ask you to do so. Ignoring their warnings will get you kicked or banned from the server.
First of all, you have to create an account here if you don't have one already. To create your account you have to use your email address (where you will receive a link for email verification), your username and a strong password. After creating the account, you can join a server by pressing the + button from the left side of your screen or just using a valid invitation link. For the setting, press  button from the bottom. On the left side, you will see a list with all settings grouped by their function. On the right side, you can select or deselect what you want for each category of settings. If you want to change your username, profile picture, email or password, just press the settings button and you shall see a short description of your Discord account.  1. Username » Change your username. 2. Email » You can change the email associated with Discord account if you don't use current address anymore. 3. Current Password » When you want to change the username or the email address, you have to confirm that you are the real owner by writing the current password before pressing the Save button. 3. Change Password » By pressing this button, a new field will appear where you have to enter a new password. To save your settings, enter the current password. 4. Change Avatar » Choose an appropriate image as your avatar from your computer. Whether you use Discord on browser or downloaded app, you will receive desktop notifications. You can disable this setting by pressing button and select Notifications. Otherwise, press on your avatar and you shall see this:
You can also edit the way your text looks like on Discord. To do so you have to select what you have written and the list with the BBCode will appear above the text.
You can find your friends and all the options related to them by clicking the Home button and then Friends. Your friends will be sorted by status:

STAFF Q&A How are staff members displayed on Discord? On discord, staff members, excluding sentinels, have the same colour as in-game. First of all, try to write in the #help channel (/chat #help). There are a lot of users who might be able to help you. However, if there is something only a staff member can help you with, write them a private message on Discord. If you don’t get an answer, please write a private message on the Forum (Atelier801). If you have further questions, check this thread. I have a problem, but there are no staff member online to help me. What should I do? If you are experiencing any problems write a private message to a Moderator or any staff member. They will get to you as soon as possible Can I get banned on Discord? Yes, you can, but you're more likely to get muted if you do not behave well. USER Q&A Who are Twitch subscribers? How can I become one? Twitch subscribers are users who have discord benefits, like special emotes, purple name, ability to react to messages and so on. If you want to become a Twitch subscriber you have to buy a subscription to their Twitch channel. What is slowmode and when it is enabled? Slowmode is a mode which is used for very high user activity in channels. It is always enabled in #suggestions channel. If staff members see a huge amount of messages in different channels, they can enable the slowmode to stop the spam. How can I get free rewards? You can get free rewards by joining Transformice’s Discord and reacting to messages in the #giveaway channel Can I join a giveaway without joining the Transformice’s Discord server? No, you can't. You can only get free rewards if you are part of the Transformice’s Discord server. How can I verify my account? To verify your account you need to visit this website. Then choose your community and do all further steps to complete your vertification. How do I access a specific community? If you want to access a specific community go to the #welcome channel and press the community's flag. Can I use discord to appeal my ban? Yes, you can, but it's better and easier to message them on Atelier801 or complete the Contact form. |
