| Ban Appeal Section |

| You know that feeling when you open the forums and see some random post "mod banned me unfairly corruption mod lixo"? So I suggest making a section dedicated to ban appeals, it should be accessible and maybe added inbetween Dev Tracker to Forums at the top below the url. It also should have a premade template so users can provide as much information as they can.

I don't really see down-sides unless the board will operate internationally. I expect it to be filtered by community, each community team handles things their way and by different rules I assume. As I said the big idea behind this is to show that moderators handle things fairly! So everyone can see. Thanks for reading. Dernière modification le 1601148060000 |

| This information should remain private, players don't need to show everyone what they got banned for and mods don't need to show everyone what they banned a player for, plus there is the fact that moderators are obviously not going to explicitly and publicly explain the actions of the user as it could be something that is seriously inappropriate. Such section would not even suit what a forum is defined as which is an online discussion site; the overall community would not be able to contribute to the ongoing discussions in any way, and they would not benefit from the discussion between the moderator and the sanctioned player as all you would find most of the times is the moderator explaining how the player broke the rules and evidence to it. Just because the discussion is moved from private to public doesn't mean that the moderators' response will instantly satisfy the players and they will likely still end up using the contact form. Syrius a dit : Yes in the end it holds a similar purpose but this is different way to handle and manage sanction appeals! Internationally. I'm suggesting a new method for a new way to handle things, not just a thread on the EN forums, i'm suggesting something that might be more efficient and will show that the moderators treat everyone equally and fairly. Charbz a dit : A player should be able to choose if he wants it to be treated in closed/open doors, treat it like a small court for handling tickets. I also disagree on the satisfaction part, a lot of people presume that the moderators treat people unequally, they have an actual chance to change things around, maybe create a precedent for other people who might want to appeal. A lot of unfair sanctions were given in the past and this can actually change things. This is how i see things after about a decade in this game. Dernière modification le 1601154600000 |
