[Other] Inviting people in the map editor |

Why, when we are in the map editor, we can't invite players. My suggestion is simple, there will be a new setting which can invite or kick players. Guests can also have their own settings like The spectator mode which allows you to directly test the map without the creator seeing it but the map is not yet ready. That's an interesting suggestion. It would certainly be useful to be able to test a map with other players directly in the editor rather than having to export it first. Meanwhile, as long as the editor is lacking this feature, there may be another way to do this. If you can load maps in your tribe house, you can perhaps use a Lua code to load the map XML. The Module FAQ & Documentation thread explains how: Module FAQ a dit : You can close the Lua box after launching the script. Type /module stop in the chat if you want to stop running it. This Lua code starts a round with a map loaded from an XML code. Replace the XML with your own (be careful not to lose the ' character before and after it). Load map XML a dit : If you want to set a particular player as shaman, you can use the following code instead (change the username in the "tfm.exec.setShaman" function to the one you want; don't forget their # number). Remove the whole last line if you don't want to have a shaman at all. Load map and set shaman a dit : I'm sure someone who is better at Lua coding than me could come up with something more elegant that doesn't just load map 0 after the round ends, forcing you to start the script again if you want to replay the map... |
