Hello do you ever think that why they chose the name atelier801 of the company?
Everyone know i have taken this from internet for just giving information to them who dont know this so kindly dont say that it is already on wikipedia or smth like that if you like this topic then give me a heart if you dont like it then just ignore thanks♡

Here you go:

Why they choosed this name

Tigrounette and Melibellule were leaning towards "Mice Studio" when Ley suggested "Atelier 801", as a reference to the special room 801 which was originally created for testing purposes. The admins liked the idea since it made a reference to the players, so they decided to choose that name.

Wanna know history of the game?

HISTORY

Co-founded by Mélanie Christin and Jean-Baptiste Le Marchand in 2011 in Lille, north of France, Atelier 801's story begins with its first game: Transformice.

Started as a hobby side-project, with Mélanie doing the art and Jean-Baptiste the coding, they posted it on the JeuxOnLine forum in 2010. The game quickly spread by word of mouth, and overwhelmed by the unexpected success of the game, they spent evenings and weekends to cope with the massive influx of players.

In 2011 they left their jobs to start Atelier 801, allowing them to finally fulfill players' demand by working full time on the game and now employing 10 extra people.

They received, in 2013, the "Entrepreneur of the Year" prize by the local "Nord" area. Transformice has become one of the most played game with 66 million accounts and 2 million active players every month.

Atelier 801 revived two of Jean-Baptiste's games with Bouboum in 2013 and then Fortoresse a few months later. The year 2014 proved to be busy as they released Nekodancer, a massively multiplayer musical game, and then their first mobile game on iOS and Android called Run for Cheese, the first one set in the Transformice universe, on October 2014.

In 2015, while still consoliding Transformice, they began working on their biggest game to date: Dead Maze, an ambitious MMO set in a contemporary world, filled with zombies and crafting possibilities. It was released on 13 February 2018.

In May 2019, Atelier 801 launched a Kickstarter campaign for Transformice Adventures, another game set in the Transformice universe. The campaign was cancelled two weeks later. In July 2019, Antarès was released.

In 2021, the multiplayer platform game Tomb Rumble was released.

On 12 January 2022, Mélanie announced in a Paroles de Dev that she was leaving Atelier 801.
