Tried gifting something for a friend, but once I validate my email, it doesn't do anything further... not sure if it's a bug or not, but thought I'd mention it, thanks again for any help :3

At which point are you stuck? Do you have the "Gift" button in your shop below the "Buy Fraises" one?

Since 11 February 2015 (V1.223), it is possible to gift any shop item purchasable with fraises to someone on Transformice. This does not work on items you've purchased for yourself (therefore meaning you cannot use gifting as a means to "discard" items). There is a limit of 10 gifts per day. You need to have spent at least 20 hours on the game, have bought a fur for yourself at least 15 days ago (with the exception of furs formerly known as Colors), gathered 200 cheese and have registered your email.

If you chargeback a fraise purchase transaction you made on Steam, you are permanently blocked from gifting items.

I have no idea which of these requirements are actually necessary to make the gift option show up; I even get it on an alt account which doesn't have an e-mail associated with it, and which has no furs other than one solid color.

Clicking on the gift button allows me to select an item to gift (if I have enough fraises), and then I get a dialog stating that a code has been sent to my e-mail address (whether or not it really exists) to verify my identity. Even on my main account, I can't check what this actually does - I have an e-mail tied to it, but the mail account doesn't exist anymore, so I can't see the mail the game supposedly sent me.

Aside from that, somebody recently claimed that the gift button showed up for them even though they had created their account less than 15 days earlier:

So it's not entirely clear to me what the exact requirements are for the gift option to become available, or for the gifting process to succeed.
