| Welcome to the Map Assistance Team.  We are a group of non-staff players who are dedicated to help other players make their maps better-executed. We do this by studying the maps submitted by their makers, and give tips on what changes should be done on the maps to make them better. What makes us different from the Map Crew? Some may argue that this is actually a function of the map crew, but currently we feel that we fulfill a separate function from the map crew. I've outlined the differences as follows: 1. Map crew are official; we are not. 2. Map crew are responsible for picking and perming the good maps; we are responsible for helping mapmakers get better at their craft. 3. Map crew can just basically tell people their maps suck and move on; we MUST not. 4. Map crew do all the boring admin work themselves. We have a beautiful/tyrannical secretary/scheduler to do that for us. This affords us more time for reviews. 5. Map crew members seem like they're loosely organized and deciding things on the fly; our group has an official set of house rules. You may find it here. 6. Map crew get whisper spam; we do not. Use this format: a dit : Please identify the shaman and mice spawns if the map is for P8, or if they spawn separately. How do I know when my map has been reviewed? Once we've finished reviewing the maps, we'll just post the results here. For the convenience of our beloved clients, I decided to add a "reviewed maps directory" at the bottom of this post. This would contain the @code of the map you sent for review, and the page number where the review may be found. Please submit only two maps per review. We will check them, but please understand that we are very intensive in our reviews and so are entitled to take our time. If you post more than two maps, we will review them anyway. But we will be sad! :( How can I be a member? Fill out and submit the application form found [HERE]. You can REAPPLY if we reject your application. Just be careful because we'll blacklist you if you apply something like twice a day without showing any sign of improvement. Other things! - All applications should be made using the form. Please do not pester us or else we'll be angry with you. - Please don't use this section to ask why your map was/wasn't permed.
