so resistance is the ability to resist damage dealt to you. combos and effects that add resistance I assume add it to yourself. but things when you use the combo for a combat knife does it affect the zombies resistance or your resistance? same with the negative resistance you get with war paint using the beserk skill?

You can hide survivor gear by clicking on the item icon on the survivor gear slot/inventory, other that that the only way to remove a survivor gear is to die or replace it with a new survivor gear of the same type.

As for negative resistance I think it applied to the player though I'm not 100% sure. E.g. negative debuff to balance out the positive buffs
