Let's talk weapons of mass destruction. Any favorites? Some you just hate for whatever reason? Some that you find funny, good, bad, and so on? In short, tell me what you think of weapons, and the ones you like to find the most. |

Tasers are easily my favourite weapon, however they are too easy to construct. 5 plastic, 1 screw, 1 electrical component per taser is easy once you have screens (which are fairly common and provide 4 plastic and 2 electrical components). I think the best way to fix this would be to increase the number of required electrical components to 2 and make them not guaranteed loot from screens (make their occurrence rate the same as what precious metal is now). Or make it cost electricity (once we have a way to store electricity) or even precious metals. (Discussed in discord this is a bug and it is meant to cost electricity. but had already written this so thought I would post anyway) :P Besides this all I have wanted so far from my weapons is to be able to kill zombies as quickly as possible as to mitigate the damage I take (tasers are good at this as they killed most enemies in one hit thanks to the electrical damage). This is often as I am alone most of the time so haven't had much need/opportunity to use weapons/skills that support allies. Am very excited for range weapons to come into effect also to experiment with them. One thing that would be nice is a guide as to what some of the statuses on weapons mean. Most are quite obvious (stun, attack speed etc.) but some are not. For example, I would like to know what "Unleashed" on combat knife actually means in terms of my characters actions, or how much a zombies hit chance is reduced by if they are blinded. This wouldn't have to be written on each weapon, but maybe on a guide book (or guide NPC) in Lakeview? (or within your journal or a tutorial?) with all the potential statuses explained for the players. Finally, this is the funnest weapon to wield/walk around with (closely followed by the foam hand): Didn't even realise you were able to pick it up for ages :D |

My favourite weapons are the fast ones which do decent damage (20+). Examples being the Secateur and the Kitchen Knife. Out of the weapons iv'e found so far, my favourites are the Katana and the Leg of a Louis-Phillipe chair *-* |

One of my favorite weapons is the little lamp. Now that we can't recycle it, I just used it as weapon and the electrical effect it has is amazing. I just learned to love epée en plastique, I really like the different 50% combos. It gives some randomness to it which can be quite bad (no combo gets triggered) but also really good when fighting a zombie that is protected against fire for example, you have the chance that you hit him with electricity. It might be a bit easy to craft but then again it takes a lot to master it, so I guess that is ok. I also enjoy the combat knife. It is fast, does decent damage and lasts quite long. My former favorite, the katana, is not in my favorites anymore. I still like it a lot and there is no question of it being powerful but I'm still so used of how overpowered it was that I keep on dying when I have it xD The weapon I dislike the most is the legendary fishing rod. It was nice in V3 to go on a little fishing trip but even there the fishing rod was quite useless. In V4 I didn't find any place to fish so far and tbh I just keep on throwing the legendary away when I get it (which happened quite often yesterday and today already again). In general I'd say crafting weapons is quite easy. Of course you have to gather up a lot of material but in most cases you get ok-ish to good weapons even while still learning them. I rarely don't craft anything or just a red weapon. I actually find it a bit too simple. As example, the first epée en plastique I crafted (so number 3/500) was already in perfect shape, then I crafted two yellow ones and the 6/500 was green again. None failed, none were red. Of course I appreciated it a lot but you might want to nerf that a little bit (but not too much or it is frustrating!) I'm not sure if it already exists and I just didn't find it yet but I'd enjoy a weapon that does just a little bit of damage but protects yourself quite strongly for a while upon combo and also gives provocation so all zombies try to attack you. I imagine it as tank item for a group fight but pretty much useless when you're roaming around alone. Edit: I made a suggestion for the system of choosing the next weapon. Please check it out :) Dernière modification le 1488550080000 |

My favorite weapon is the knife, the lamp and the stop sign them give a good damage and lasts a good time. To be honest I saw some stuff which are weapons but them are useless, anyways, it is better have something than nothing. Other thing is I love: the chairs, good damage to resist 1-2 hits. |
