Think of it like this: By making fanmade skins, it can help the admins think of new ideas for skins. Now, I'm not saying that he/she should've got everyone excited. He could've just e-mailed it to them.
I don't believe it's possible either for players to know what skins/when skins are coming out, just saying.

Would of been cool, but overpriced.
