This is my agenda for tribe improvements. I will work on making these ideas reality! If you have any additional suggestions, please write them in the comments below. 1. Amend the tribe rules- The rules are really outdated. I'll need to amend and clarify the part about what constitutes "inappropriate" (as I've already broken it myself but there seems to be no harm done). I will also create different sections of rules, including general rules, inactivity policy, forum guidelines, recruitment guidelines, and rules about leaving the tribe. 2. Reform the inactivity policy- I will remove the strike system (I haven't been enforcing it anyway) because it is both unfair and difficult to enforce. I will consider how to enforce an inactivity policy; I may need help from tribe members to monitor activity. Please make suggestions below on this difficult topic! I am thinking about creating an "IcyPlankster" rank, a limited-rights rank for high-ranking members who have been inactive for a long time or have committed minor transgressions. 3. Leadership opportunities- Per a suggestion during the meeting, it might be a good idea to have other tribe members lead for some time. It would be a good way to develop leadership potential and give different tribe members the opportunity to interact with the tribe from a different perspective. I may set up leadership opportunities when I am away or believe I will be inactive for a bit; there's also the possibility that I will award those with a large number of PP's some kind of leadership opportunity. 4. Tribe Olympics- I will plan an Olympics-style competition between all members of the tribe! Everyone will be encouraged to participate in a variety of different events, including tribe house challenges, racing, deathmatch, survivor, towerdefense, and more. 5. Officer delegations- Once enough people have reached 50 PP's, I will hold a meeting for all the new officers and we'll decide each officer's job. A system of officers will help the tribe expand and run better. 6. Advertising- I will create an official tribe advertisement in the public forum, with an awesome fancy banner! We'll make our tribe look the coolest in TFM universe! 7. New members- The member cap will be 200-250. After that, I will discourage any invites to the tribe. I will also set guidelines for recruitment, including an orientation process that new members will go through. 8. Mapmaking Contest- There will be contests in which tribe members create maps in the map editor. There may be different themes, such as Valentine's Day or spring or medieval castle. Some may be used as utility maps for parties and weddings, while others may be used for the Tribe Olympics events. 9. Logo Contest- There will be an ongoing contest in which tribe members can design their own tribe logos and submit them to a thread. I will judge them and perhaps hold a vote; the winner becomes the new tribe logo! 10. Forum- I may create new sections in the forum in order to accommodate all the new information we need. The About Us section will be reorganized, with added information including the EmPrez system, contests, forum guidelines, and recruitment guidelines. 11. Birthdays and Weddings- There will be a new section in the forum dedicated to birthdays, weddings, and other celebrations. Everyone will have the opportunity to have a tribe party for their birthday or wedding. I'll help get the word out, and we can all celebrate together! :) 12. Pen Pals- In the near future, I will set up a section in the forum for "pen pals" (this is going off of the "tribe buddies" suggestion). Each participating tribe member picks a partner to be pen pals with. Then, the pen pals send each other letters on paper items or forum messages. 13. Improv- There will be group improv games where small groups of people will act out a scene or come up with a speeches/song/etc. about a topic and the winning group gets +1 PP! 14. Memories- I will create a forum section dedicated to posting screenshots or copypastes of particularly funny or memorable moments in the tribe. 15. Art- For the artists in the tribe, there will be an art section in the forum! We might have weekly art contests with different themes. The section will also provide a place to share your art with the tribe. Thanks for reading this lengthy post (if you did). Update: The forum is undergoing a redesign. A couple things have changed: 1. The member channels section has been deleted. If you need to contact me, just use direct message. Feel free to ask if you don't know how. 2. I have deleted the forum sections created by tribe members that have been inactive for a long time. If yours is deleted and you would like it restored, please contact me and I will restore it for you. 3. Some of the posts have been moved to appropriate sections. Don't hesitate to ask if you need help finding something. 4. Most old posts have been moved to the archives. 5. The EmPrez system has been removed. It was annoying to keep up with and pretty useless since I know I'm not getting banned. 6. A PP Log has been added to the Archives section, serving as a backup in case the greeting message is destroyed. 7. The rank IcyPlank has been added.
