"thank you!" i'm glad to be able to make a weapon and hunting tool. All my survival classes and hunting might just pay off. i start to make a spear.

I make another and toss one to Vin. I hand the tool back to Lya.

"Thanks, now let's go explore the island! There might be useful things we can find!"

"ok." on the way over i'll grab 3 packs of trail mix. i have no clue how long we'll be out in the jungle.

Armed with my knife, I lead the way into the tangled undergrowth of the forest. Apprehension gnaws at me but the adrenaline spurs me on.

i will also make a fire pit out of shells and stones. a burning tropical rainforest would be awful.

As the thick plants close around me, I'm increasingly aware of the oppressive humidity of the place. Small bugs buzz around my face, and I swat them away with annoyance.

I gather up all the twigs and sticks in sight but what i have is not enough to make a lasting fire
