holistergo a dit : Everyone above 80k kills is not even close to "real pro". Just saying so you guys don't start thinking that BR and ES have some "Legends". Nope. Most of them play "as good" as a 6k player. |

I have a few questions about how you guys determine the best players on a game like this, because people can be really biased on such discussion. So first of all, can stats alone be used to determine who is the greatest player in this game? Or at least, does it affects the way you'd considere someone from being the best..? For instance, deaths: if someone that is highly skilled but die a lot vs. someone who is decent but does not die as much. Who would you considere as a better player? Same thing goes to preference for weapons. Again, if two players with same level of skills were to use two different weapons...like Sniper and Fama for example. One being less effective and the other one being OP (sniper). Of course people would favor the Sniper right? Hmmm how about OP guns like Spas? According to some players, it's known as a weapon that does not required any skills to use (some even said, who uses it is a noob -- of course, that comes from some kind of madness..lol). That being said, no matter how skilled a player is, if they use a gun that has bad influence like Spas, they will certainly weighed less than those who are not as skilled but use different guns right? Could this be the reason to why so few Spas users were mentioned on the list even though there are more should have been mentioned as well? Not biased towards spas, this goes to any other weapon, specifically the underrated ones. I can go on and on but I'm starting to confuse myself as well. Lol . So last question. Strategies vs. Skills? Could one possibly be better than the other? I guess an easy solution to this is to give a well description of the person that's being mentioned Dernière modification le 1462939800000 |

Deadmaufivek a dit : Before i answer your question, the list is not who is best at each role, maybe brandon's intention was, but that incomplete list that i had made was merely to give a slight visual to what type of player you are by comparing yourself with the player mentioned. You asked how do we determine the best players on the game, while it is true that some things are biased such as op weapons and stats with lots of kills, what really stands out to us is how they play. Playstyle is different from what i mean, how they play in this case is how effectively they execute plays to win the game. Stats will play no role in determining this however a lot of players in mostly br server, es and en server will always look at stats. This is the real bias judgement. According to your example for famas and sniper, there is no category to compare. However in a fight like this we can look at their 1v1 skills and team player skills. Sniper is a gun that is already OP, what makes it different is that you are not guaranteed to hit every shot and do high damage like Mp5 and Spas12. We will also look at their weapon pool, how many weapons they can play decently. If Only one weapon is decent they cannot be considered one of the best. This is where we see a lot of spas12 and snipers mp5 etc. The weapons are op and are used to beat others in 1v1s. So in fact we're not THAT biased towards spas12, its just thats the only weapon they use. Some will also use sniper and say that they're trying something new. Spas12 is looked down upon for multiple reasons. My reason is beacuse the lack of mind play into it. You only require one thing in mind, "Get close and spam this shit". Not even that I can stand far away and still do average 8 damage a shot. Which is why a nerf that doesn't affect its damage is necessary. Guns like famas lack the ability to kill as effectively as the 3 OP guns. Which is why they would have to resort to more strategy than skill. This is also because they have to stand still to do any real damage and not being able to do fancy parkour. I forgot to mention that you cannot determine a person's skill from the top 2 op weapons because they require the least variety of plays to kill and win as said before. However a spas that conserves his ammo for shots that count is someone who can use the skill of patience and win in the battle of conj rather than spamming it hoping to do damage. Same goes for mp5. You should also note that lots of tribes in br server rank spas as a "pro" gun having sniper the second and mp5 nothing. There aren't any spas players because there just aren't any that main the weapon for me to put them into the category. An example of how Stats can't determine a person's skill but it can determine what kind of player they are. You can also look at the rounds played and take a good guess on how experienced they are. The player down here should not be any better than i am. I am actually familiar with this player and determined their area of skill using the time we've played together. ![]() Dernière modification le 1462941060000 |

Deadmaufivek a dit : ![]() Skill and strategy are similar, with good skill you can execute strategy better. And some strategy requires you to have minimum skill.Part of skill and strategy are the same,so they are both important. But depends on different situation, one could be better than the other. In 1v1,skill>strategy. Strategy takes resource to be effective, which means it takes some time or take risk to make the strategy works. You have only 40 hp,there's less thing you can do. But in Flag mode you have teammate, more time and several lives, many possibilities of strategy you can do. |

Siuker a dit : To add on, skill is a very general term, as said, skill is required to execute the play of strategy however, Part of executing a play involves more than hand eye coordination and reaction speed gaming skills. It will also require understanding of it. strategy is also has a very wide meaning, it can involve tech, type of approach etc. Understanding of the tech is crucial as you might not be able to execute the tech to pull off the rest of the play. Therefore having a little bit of both is great. If you have more gaming skills like reaction time but still have some understanding of strategy, it is equivalent to the other way around. One thing i should mention is that there is a ceiling to how much skill you have, at one point a player will encounter a situation where he can no longer get better as fast as he used to be. In just 2 weeks of playing a rookie player is already so much better at the game compared to the first 2-3 days. However even with 3 months of practicing at the point you hit the ceiling, you won't feel any improvement. A tip to surpass that limit is to push yourself beyond that. It works for almost everything, One hour of just 1v1 a player better than me in everyway took me beyond the limit. As for strategy, there is no limit. In fact it is something that you can't measure like skill. strategy is has a wider meaning but the results from improving it is much more narrow. Playstyle is part of strategy and there is always a playstyle to counter others. Slowly adjusting your default playstlye will make sure that you are ready for any situation, whether its defending a flag or a simple 1v1. Dernière modification le 1463374560000 |
