I think mort is useless. Perks solve the problems that come up with low hp, low ammo, and more. Also I mostly see people using morts when they are surrounded and are about to die even with full hp, if you have the need to mort( such as you glitched through a ton of blocks and are stuck) that means you did something wrong.
