@Cheddarfist: In my post 'Solid' refers to blocks on the map, while 'walkable' refers to no blocks. So when making the foreground image, any transparent area is an area without blocks, while a pixel with any amount of opaqueness is a normal block. If using MS Paint If you are using MS Paint to draw, you'll need to use a different program to add the transparency. If you don't have a program of choice for that, there plenty of free options, but if you don't want to download a program, there's also some free online image editors. Roughly Drawn concept, image may be small... So basically the red dot is red spawn, blue dot is blue spawn. The grey box up top would be the area that blue has to defend and red has to take over. The concept is just a sort of king of the hill map. You could use blocks to actually structure something you need to stand on after the temple gets broken (as it would obviously get destroyed one way or another, c4s and all that). The importance of the structure would count because it needs to be thick enough so that small shots wouldn't destroy it completely. Of course that is also a con, the map relies very heavily on conjuring blocks. |

From what I'm able to see, only the top need conjuration, the whole thing isn't flat (walls) ... All maps "relies very heavily on conjuration" because it's random pictures. |

Before I do any shading thus make it a pain to change, does anyone have any thoughts on this "icy cavern" VIP map? Many people will go right down to bottom center, and even for those who don't and go to the top, many will funnel down right into the mass of people fighting bellow. as the top of the map gets destroyed. The bottom corners of the maps have some little caverns for the heck of it. This wasn't my "panned" 3rd map, but meh. While I was thinking of it I've been thinking of a way to have a "fair" domination map where 1 team starts out above the other. I'm not sure this does that, but this is what I have so far: I have a blank area between the spawns, with an easy way for the below team to go up; but while the "pros" will do w/e they want, the beginners can follow the path, and be potentially ambushed by the team below, taking away part of the "advantage" given by the team on top (except for those smart enough to dig). VIP - Cavern [10 May 2015] Dimensions: 300x120px This is an "ice" / cavern themed map, where each VIP starts on either end of the map. Domination - Chase [10 May 2015] Dimensions: 300x108px An attempt to have a "fair" domination map where 1 team starts out above the other. I have a filled in area between the spawns, with an easy way for the below team to go up and to the left to retreat. For above, while the "pros" will do whatever they want, the beginners can follow the path, and be potentially ambushed by the team below, taking away part of the "advantage" given by the team on top (except for those smart enough to dig). Domination/VIP (not a submission) This mock-up is a bit old, mostly because making it seems like a pain. This is supposed to be a spaceship, with the cargo hold door open, and a bunch of stuff falling out (the grey circles are items, not meteoroids). My "plan" would be for the items to be Transformice shaman / shop items. and maybe the currency each game uses. I kinda want this to be a VIP map, but I think it would conflict a bit to much with the candy map's "random stuff everywhere" idea, so it would probably be best as a Domination map. The 2 purple squares (left of red circle, right of dark red square) are the spawns, and the black and dark blue would be movable area. And yes, I am bad at making backgrounds =p Especially backgrounds that are more than a single color (with some blurring) without making it too distracting. Edit: I also added an "ideas" tab to show images people have made even if they aren't the right size / don't have a separate background/foreground. Edit2: I am submitting the thread on June 1st, so please post any submissions before then (I will still update article after that, but there will be even less guarantee than there already is that it will be seen / added). Flag (1) - Volcano [19 May 2015] By: fewfre Dimensions: 300x108px This is a single Flag map with muted color for the background, and brighter reds / dark colors for the foreground. Top left purple is attacking team, bottom right blue is the defending. Initially the attacking team has the higher ground, but as the ground gets shot up they will fall below were they have to walk up just like defending team. Optionally, the defending team could start on the right side of the screen near the top. |

Use that and edit your comment (the very first) , the other part is just for the name. About the map... it's like the one from Jjaakkee , only with more blocks at the top left and right but, hey, need maps and it's not the same. |
