The easiest way to resolve this is to add a profile in fortoresse right xD? You could see person's kill/death ratio rather than just kills.

I agree.

Solfn a dit :
Our fort players think that skill comes from most kills = automatic bias towards snipers.

I wouldn't say that, it's just as easy to steal a sniper's kill as they ready their next shot as you spray someone down and they just decide to steal it. Snipers are really lucky to even hit the person through team conjuration let alone the enemies, although I do see where this comes from.

If it were possible I think they should just add support score, something that isn't just biased towards kills. As for the kill death ratio; that wouldn't make much of a difference. I would love to have a profile with points captured, VIP matches won, Domination matches won, and a win/lose ratio as well as a kill/death one.

Funny how I've been playing for less than a week and I'm already the best sniper in the entire game. This game is too easy, 90% of the players use perks and I still own them. I haven't seen a single player that stands out since I usually sniper them out the air like a duck. Every player mentioned here is either average or a perk abuser, most likely both. When I see a sniper that's as good (or even better, although that's impossible) as me, then I'll change my opinion, but that isn't likely.

You seem very confident about that Ysobadbro. .-.

To be honest, there's a lot of really good players, but it depends on what they are good at...

They're just a good example of one of those people that think kills are everything, don't mind them.

Actually those players whom were mentioned were already good way before perks even came out. tbh it was more fun before perks came out. And no ysobadbro, your not the best sniper....i've seen you.\

Edit: as someone here has said if you (anyone) CALLS yourself pro then that means you are well capable of using other guns. For you, i can imply that you only use sniper or maybe thats the only weapon you can be "good" at. plus How are you good? you can't just say your a "good" sniper unless you have proof which you dont. ALso being a "best" player would not only consist of game skill but also idea about the game. such as giving suggestion to the game makers. That shows that you have experience.

@Shadowwinter

I never stated a thing about points representing your skill, but if you can't even get more than 5 kills in a match, then you're not good. The objectives in this game depend on your team as a whole, not individually. If you're the only good player in a bad team, facing an average team, then you can't win since you're unable to withstand a 1 vs 12 match in this game. If you're able to get a lot of kills, aim and conjure well, and win even when you have a poor team, and I can do well in all of those aspects, then that means you have skill.

@Xtrollfoxx

I've seen most of those players, they can't defend themselves for their lives. I don't use perks at all, I could buy all of them if I wanted to but choose not to. All of them use perks, without perks they're either hella bad or average at the best.

If you've seen me, you wouldn't be saying I'm bad, which is what I think you're implying. I'm far from bad, and I don't think you can name any sniper whom I can't beat.

@Chosnsnivy

I've seen you cry in the game, do you really want to be embarrased here too?

Ahem, let me break down your first post for you.

Ysobadbro a dit :
Funny how I've been playing for less than a week and I'm already the best sniper in the entire game.

A week isn't enough time to have played the entire playerbase and honestly really isn't enough to determin a lot of the players skill. Let alone since you've only played a week you haven't faced the Veterans back in the day where everyone was equally matched and when new guns were introduced and how people adapted to them.

Ysobadbro a dit :
I haven't seen a single player that stands out since I usually sniper them out the air like a duck.

That's not that hard, and if you're a decent sniper you'll know about timing, the accuracy of the weapon and how to snipe players out of bunkers. Let alone the hitbox for players to get some rather cheap damage when they think they're behind cover.

Ysobadbro a dit :
Every player mentioned here is either average or a perk abuser, most likely both. When I see a sniper that's as good (or even better, although that's impossible) as me, then I'll change my opinion, but that isn't likely.

Ysobadbro a dit :
@Shadowwinter

I never stated a thing about points representing your skill, but if you can't even get more than 5 kills in a match, then you're not good.

Read your quote above and tell me that again. People can steal kills, and most people do get 5 kills per match.

Ysobadbro a dit :

Maybe that's because you've only been around a week when people were still getting used to the perks and almost everyone was using c4. Perks are apart of the game and since they were released rather recently it's gonna take a while to balance them out. It's not /that hard/ to play without perks.

Ysobadbro a dit :
The objectives in this game depend on your team as a whole, not individually. If you're the only good player in a bad team, facing an average team, then you can't win since you're unable to withstand a 1 vs 12 match in this game.

You don't need kills to be a team player. Of course this would go unrecongized since there's no assist score system in this game and no one ever really looks out for it.

Ysobadbro a dit :
If you're able to get a lot of kills, aim and conjure well, and win even when you have a poor team, and I can do well in all of those aspects, then that means you have skill.

I've played without conjuring and usually do try to go without it besides making platforms for me to stand on. I did this a lot back in the day and really conjuring is only going to fuck you over as a sniper. Getting kills really doesn't matter if you can push the enemy team out of the flag area and capture it and there's a lot of aspect to this game that you're missing probably because you're inexperienced compared to most.

As shadowwinter pointed out, kills aren't everything, and supporting roles can matter.

It also depends when you play and what timezone your in ^.^

But really, anyone but me :3

I see people are raging by saying kills doesn't mean much - it does, it's main criterion, but I do understand why you all saying that, you think every kill came by luck, stole some kill or so - well, that happens, but if you do that every round? that means you're really good? Don't underestimate the killing ;)

I run so good and fast, I must be the best.

People here aren't raging, we're discussing and kills shouldn't be the main concern when it comes to deciding if someone's good or not which is what I'm at least trying to get across.

Killing is a main part of the game and while it is important, I think the support roles are a lot more valuable then being able to kill a few people before dying. I'll try explain everything this time if I haven't already.

Slaying - Gets people off the flag, eliminates players, and makes pushes. Without support would probably die pretty quickly if out-numbered.

Support roles - Medics heal you and keep you alive for longer so you don't have to waste time respawning and then running back, keeping you in the battle for longer and being able to defend the flag for long periods of time as well as always have the upper hand when facing weak opponents as well as keeping you from being 1 shot away from death from snipers.

Tanks - Run forward and sponge all the enemies bullets using their invincibility so their teammates can push up and eliminate players. Also very useful for setting off mines without taking damage as well as setting off enemy c4 so teammates can move foward and a lot of the time jump on the flag when it's clear.

Attack+/Defense+ - Helps give you the upper hand in gun fights as well as keeping you alive longer. Very great for defending and killing others as well as helping you balance the playing field when out numbered.

C4 and Mines I choose not to go over because they're just a cheap way to get KILLS without having to have any gunskill or any skill at all for that matter. But take a look at all the things I listed and tell me that none of that helps you get more kills let alone push forward and actually win the game.

Not everyone has to be agressive and try to kill every single player they can. Some people like to stay back and actually help their teammates and maybe have some tactics rather then just rushing out and dying continuously. As I've pointed out before the only people that get noticed for being "good" are the one's that are at the top of the leaderboard because of kills/the extra points they got from capping the point (half the time they didn't even help, keep in mind) and there's no assist score or anything for the players that gave them the upper hand.

If they did some day implement assist score, I can almost guarantee you that there'd be a huge change in the top players at the end of the matches.

I'm mainly one for Support, Attack+/Defense+ (Planning on getting Defense+, but would have to replace Med Kit and then switch back after), and Slaying.

I doubt you're the best sniper in the game. You're not even a veteran, nub, stop acting like you're king of the battlefield Mr.Wannaberoyalty. You can claim to have skill, but going on to say you are the best sniper? Hell no, I've never seen you around, but I'm willing to bet that Shadow is a much better sniper than you. I've seen Shadow snipe, and oh boy all aces. And if it weren't for my lag I'd be able to snipe pretty well, but as for now, I'm not up in the high leagues.

If we would measure every aspect of a person's skill, we have to consider each game mode as well:
Number of kills
Number of deaths
K/D ratio
Damage dealt out/received
Total potatoes
Number of flags captured
Total games Victory/Defeat
Games as VIP (Victory/Defeat)

This way we can actually see who's participating in games and who's just kill stealing.
Perhaps a page of statistics should come out like on cfm.

I've seen shadow snipe. I've got steady hands, but he's got steadier hands than me, and that's saying something. He's an excellent sniper as well as player and deserves his success.
