There were a lot of good players that are Veterans that no longer play anymore, way before most of the updates were released.

I'm not really one to specifically call out a players skill, but honestly most of it's become smoke and mirrors. I feel like people tend to try and fit in with others and when they hear someone's name being called out consistently for being good they generally start focusing that player rather then what's really going on. Ending up with "tunnel vision" because of it

Someone that just pops invincibility and then runs into a group of people, places a mine, and gets kills is NOT someone that should be considered good for obvious reasons, but again the "tunnel vision" prevents people from realizing this.

I'm not saying good players don't use skills, but good players don't use cheap tactics to look good. Skills really just made the definition of a good player more misleading then anything when you constantly see 5+ kill feeds.

Also there's a lot of things I feel people should take into consideration when they think someone influences the game. Such as what perks/gun were they using, how long did they spend individually and with their team, how did they play, and much more.

If pro were based on someone's skills at doing something others can depend on then I must be a pro ;)

Players can always depend on me to place down some med kits and Attack+ so we can defeat enemy groups while in a large shootout.

Then that would make you a skilled supporter.
But everyone here is still debating over who is the best over the individuals and the supporters.

Supports are actually a really complicated thing to pick a part. Positioning, planning, and predicting the enemy to keep your team alive. Always being a step ahead of everyone else.

I think being a support means knowing where to use your perks, how, and when. When to jump in and when to get out or even sacrifice yourself for your team to delay the enemy's push or even get the win.

Individual skill still plays a part in a support role because you obviously can't control what your team does and we all know we're human and we make mistake, but I think a good support would be someone that gets you out of otherwise deadly situations and gives your team the upper hand to win the game.

Let's not forget though, there are other kind of supports too such as people shielding the flag, digging paths and so on. Generally just someone that makes it easier for you to get around the map and get where you need to be.

honestly being the best means yo can master every gun both types like a "pro" master the perks. Have both individual and cooperative skill (teamwork). Also you must know every tactic and technique. Not only that i think you should also be able to help people who are new become good. So since i see no one like that there is no "best"

Definitely the people in gunpoint. Some haven't even been on for decades so their stats are 0. But i remember back when they haven't even came out yet. They were pro. If there were to be a leaderboard just like Cfm for transformice. Gunpoint's members would be dominatiing it

What? how am i a cheater? First off explain what a cheater is in this game. Be very specific with details. Second off some how the people calling me and some other people cheaters are all in your tribe so i can see that you're just trying to bring us down with too much talk just like the current president of the united states. And i am pretty sure farming is a usually thing for i always see these people *cough cough* thesnailgary *cough* in puny rooms such as room 2 or 3 them come out to room 1 once they have finished off the other rooms. Also morting when about to die is not cheating. They have put it there for many reasons. So if the game were to make stats then it would be most easy to make a mort count as a death. Plus whats the use still continuing on with like 1 hp (mostly in vip rounds) if people are going to chase your ass anyways. Like fuck that shit i wanna try my hardest to keep my stats good. Not only that but on most teams i have been on when stats first came out were horrible so chances are i'm going to lose that round so might as well just "farm" kills there while i'm at it. Plus were all not sure if you do some kind of cheat to get a huge amount of kills.

Again while I say this I am not sure of all the inner workings of fortoresse, but the mort command was made originally for transformice so members could die quickly if trapped with no hope of getting out. I agree that Gunpoint is a very good fortoresse tribe, but I also agree with Thesnailgary that people like solfn and Shadowwinter would be at the top of the "fortoresse leaderboard".

To me stat padding is trying hard not to get bad stats. It is annoying to have someone locked on and have them be morted but even so there is something called a killsteal? so that person shouldn't even deserve a kill. Morts mostly happen when someone puts up a shield goes into a vip with a crowd then put a mine and run away having very little hp. then someone comes to try to kill you. I would actually just mort instead of being killed by a person who probably did least dmg. And even if it were like a 1v1 encounter battle and you're about to kill then someone mort its not that kind of cheating where its like cheating on a test or game like someone has infinite hp or something. Its more like avoid (something undesirable) by luck. I admit to morting and farming kills as in getting easy kills that are techniacally fair since it is public. It is not like what tfm players do when they want firsts. Thesnailgary accuses me of doing that since at one point i had originally gone to xgenmasters room that he always goes to once logged or testing shit(or so i had thought) to say hi but right before i could say that he said "so you've come to kill me multiple times huh" and joked around and said "Lol yes" then he started talking about how it pisses people off and stuff and then we started to 1v1 for awhile while he was at it talking about it. After i had killed him 2 times in a row he got pissed at me and deleted my ass and told me to go away and so i did" and i am guessing he got mad and told snailgary that I had farmed kills the way people do with firsts in tfm. Idk about him now but he seems to be on my side for that false accuse from snailgary. Like are you that flexible to just believe the person you think is farming kills? I mean i thought he hated people like that. so ye full story
