Fortoresse is a wonderful game made by our "precious" Atelier801 team. We would love it if they paid attention to fortoresse a bit more. But like other games we have our very own forums! And what more to do with the forums than put some helpful content! So without further ado here are the Fortoresse terms you must know to play!

http://i.imgur.com/JLavEQo.jpg
Gameplay:
  • Conj: The blocks you spawn with space bar otherwise known as Conjuration
  • HP pack: The healing substances dropped by a dead person that give 10 hp.
  • Shield: Was often used to describe the "shelter" perk before they were given official names. Now used to describe walls built by conj.
  • Vs/1v1/X1:vs and x1 are used to define 1v1 in Br Tr and Es communities. 2 players square off in a private room. Rules vary
  • Spammer: sometimes used to describe someone spamming a gun, usually spas or uzi
  • Playstyle: refers to how a person prefers to manipulate perks, guns, skills, and positions to better kill/survive
  • Dom: short for "Domination"
  • KS: players who steal your kills.
  • Spawn blocking: To continuously cover an enemy's spawn with conj so that they are unable to leave without shooting it out.
  • VIP:The person with the blue or red ring and 400 hp. As VIP you need to stay alive and have plenty of hp! This is not a chance to get kills
  • Voider: A person who voids via glitching
  • Crossfire: Bullet fire coming inwards from opposing sides of a player.

    Weaponry:
  • Sniper: A player that uses the M40 A5 as their first weapon.
  • "Autos" or "Automatics": refer to the automatic guns
  • Rifle: a gun that's not spas or sniper
  • Deagle: short for "Desert Eagle"( a secondary, or a pistol)
  • Pots: Fortoress's Virtual currency, was used by players from 2014.
  • Bomb:Mines and C4s
  • Outfit: Skins and hair bought in the shop

    Strategies:
  • CJS/Sliding:Using conj to travel faster via corner jumping. See 6.5 Advance tactics library
  • Ghosting: Using conj to move out of your opponent's range
  • Glitching- Traveling by pushing yourself against a wall, this will cause you to move in chaos. See Advance tactics library 4.5
  • Terrorism: is planting bombs then running, kind of like Kamikaze, but in kamikaze, you aim to kill yourself, and terrorism you intend to survive
  • Void: Noun/Verb The black area outside of the maps. One step in and you die
  • Flanking: To attack from opposite or all sides so as to cut off an enemy's form of escape or defense.
  • Stalking: To pursue an enemy just outside of their field of vision (for example, below them).
  • Strafing: To move perpendicular to an enemy's bullets or in a circular motion around an enemy to force them to continuously adjust their aim as you keep track of their position at all times.
  • Spawn blocking: To continuously cover an enemy's spawn with conj so that they are unable to leave without shooting it out.

According to Funnytummy and Imilkpeople, "pingless" is ping less than 250

No one calls the apples of the earth "Taters" xD

There's also SM which stands for "soulmate" but that's kinda all the games

Rifle: a gun that's not spas or sniper

CJS is also known as "Penguin Sliding"

D-Eagle: short for "Desert Eagle"( a secondary, or a pistol)

Spammer: sometimes used to describe someone spamming a gun, usually spas or uzi

"Autos" or "Automatics": refer to the automatic guns

The "HP-Pack" is also called a "Bandage" by Fort wiki

Terrorism: is planting bombs then running, kind of like Kamikaze, but in kamikaze, you aim to kill yourself, and terrorism you intend to survive

Playstyle: refers to how a person prefers to manipulate perks, guns, skills, and positions to better kill/survive

    Dom: short for "Domination"
Spawn/Respawn: the location where all players enter the game map. It can also be used as a verb, meaning to come back into the game after a death

I'll edit this post again later and make it look neater.

I feel as if it would be better to just link to Fortoresse's Wikia page, since this is sort of like an overview.

Lol, but i think that it's kinda necessary, to become a pro at Fort, you have to understand the language and jargon xD

Hmm, I see, but the information just seems kind of cluttered at the moment.

You should also explain VIP, as many people aren't educated on what that position means, especially since some love to abuse it. :x

Edit: Also voiding. Additionally, I think most people use "pots" to describe potatoes rather than "taters', lol.

Some terms I want to add that aren't really my personal terms, wouldn't recommend adding my personal terms anyway.
    ================================

Flanking: To attack from opposite or all sides so as to cut off an enemy's form of escape or defense.

Stalking: To pursue an enemy just outside of their field of vision (for example, below them).

Crossfire: Bullet fire coming inwards from opposing sides of a player.

Strafing: To move perpendicular to an enemy's bullets or in a circular motion around an enemy to force them to continuously adjust their aim as you keep track of their position at all times.

    KD/Ratio: Kills vs. deaths.

Spawn blocking: To continuously cover an enemy's spawn with conj so that they are unable to leave without shooting it out.

Sniper: A player that uses the M40 A5 as their first weapon.

====SOME TERMS COINED BY ME AND TRIBE====

Trick shot: To fire and strike an enemy in such a way that it cannot be retaliated against by return damage.

Crouch jump: To jump and crouch at the same time to reduce damage taken even while in the air.

Toilet paper: Another term for health packs

Go to flag / Get in flag - means go to flag, and get inside so we don't lose, so stop bottom feeding you idiots!
Bottom feeder - Someone who ends up at the bottom of the map and fights mindlessly, often not using conj and ignoring the objective.

'across the map' sound like this is pointing toward players using corner sliding but corner sliding is normal behavior.

The last time I saw 'toilet paper' was on VIP maps when those items used to suck the VIP health all the way to 40 in a second, old days...

Rifles don't apply to M60, since that's a Machinegun. Also, MP5 and UMP are SMGs. So that's not kinda of right...

That's all, i think. If i remember anything, i'll get it here.
