![]() Hey everyone. I see too many people are interested in making maps but looks like they don't know some common tricks. I predict everyone can make good maps. It's now that hard, already I'm not teaching you complex codes in this thread. I want to notice you can select headers from the menu above. First Look To start, you must be gained at least 1000 cheese to make a map. If you make a map before it, you can't even save it. If you already made this mistake, copy map's XML code and save it in a notepad. You can load and save it later. If you completed a map, you have 2 options to save the map. 1. You can export the map as P0 (random) map. To make it, you must be validated the map and it costs 40 cheese. 2. Mostly I prefer this, exporting map as P22 (tribe house) map. You don't need to validate this map, so you can make maps without placing cheese and mice hole. By the way, these maps can only confirmed by mapcrew if you send it to related topics. How to use these XMLs As you can see in below, you must paste it in the textbox in "Save/Load/Test" section. After that, tap on Load button to load XML. Be careful, because when you load a XML, map will be reset and you may lose your creation. ![]() ![]() Even though newbies doesn't know that feature, making long maps is too easy. You can even make 9999 pixel-length maps, but don't do that. Transformice is giving you the map with 800px length and 400px height as default. Map Size a dit : L="800" is map's length. You must make it at least 800 and I suggest you to make 800's coefficients like 1600, 2400... H="400" is map's height. Again it must be at least 400 and you can make it a lot bigger. Mostly we use 800 for big maps. When you expand map, you will still get the block and item limits. Larger maps are harder to fill with something. ![]() We are using Viprin's Drawing Editor to make drawings. This program is based on Lua coding and makes it simplier for us. "Layer" Window You can see and edit layers that you draw before. I'm using this for deleting layers, so you don't need to work with this window a lot. "Selected Layer" Window Again, it's not too essential. Only thing is, you can edit layers with details here. "Draw Tool" Window This is most efficient window to use. You can select colors and thickness for your drawings. When you draw a layer, don't use CTRL+Z combination to undo it. Always prefer BACKSPACE button to remove layers. "Settings" Menu Background Properties: You can put here an image to draw. It will not shown on the map. Selectors: You must disable all selectors before start drawing, you can enable them to edit with details. Set L/H: You can resize map here. It is a lot easier if you are making a drawing, because in most cases, you can't load XML to drawing editor. "Save/Load" Menu Load XML: If you made a map already, you can load it from here. But it's not working (for me at least), I suggest you to try it before making map, or you can create map after finishing drawing. Generate XML: There is 3 options, always use (Recommended) one, others are for different uses. As I said before, you can load XML to map editor. Drawing will not shown in editor, and you must use at least 1 ground to see it in game. You can also use "Validate map" to see how it is. If you don't understand anything here, I suggest you to watch videos, they're a lot easier to learn. |
