To begin with, I must say that creating a map for #factions is very difficult and you must follow several rules. If you still want to create a map, I'll be happy to advise you here with everything you need to know. Right at the beginning, I recommend creating the map via miceditor: https://entibo.github.io/miceditor/ Map lenght: I have two types of maps in the module. Short and long map. Short map is used in quick mode and must be 3000 - 5500 pixels wide. Long map is is an ordinary map without a game mode and must be 7000+ pixels wide. You can easily create just one map size or both if you feel like it. Map height: must be 400 pixels, otherwise the game will probably break Background: On factions maps I want to keep the TFM look as much as possible, that's why I mainly used images from the game Transformice Adventures for my first map. I recommend using this site: http://derpolino.alwaysdata.net/imagetfm/ Please keep this in mind if you want to draw your own background. • You will have to send me the images separately, then I will add them to the map myself. Wall upgrade: When creating the map you have to think about the team wall. You are able to choose any x (horizontal) position on the map for both walls, but you don't create it directly in the editor, it is added to the map automatically in the game. That is why you have to leave a hole on the map in which the team wall will appear. • Wall without upgrade is flat ground 593 pixels wide by 37 pixels high. • Usually the ground is grass (type 6), but you can choose any other ground type for a better appearance of your map. So what do you have to send me? ➤ XML of the map. You will get XML code if you are working in miceditor or using the "Copy map to clipboard" button in TFM editor. ➤ Background image/images in .png or .jpg format. You can also tell me what images you want behind the players and what images you want in front of the players. ➤ X (horizontal) positions of both team walls. ➤ Wall type (for example grass, dirt, stone...). ➤ X and Y (horizontal and vertival) positions of both towers on the map. The number doesn't have to be exact because you can't hit the right positions on the first try, I just need to understand where you want the tower and I will find the exact position so that the images of the towers fit in your map. ➤ X and Y positions for team shops. ➤ X, Y positions and colors for coin spawners. There can be multiple spawners but at least one spawner for red coins, one for blue coins and one for yellow coins. ➤ How far from the edge of the map (in pixels) the tower effect affects the players. (Tower effect cancels the hp regeneration of players from the enemy team near your tower.) ➤ X and Y positions for loot drops. ➤ X and Y position for gold box drop. ➤ Name of your map. ;D |
