☼WeatherClan☼

Thank you for choosing WeatherClan as your new tribe, and hopefully you will stay for a while!

☼Our Motto/Quote☼

"Weather may be unpredictable, but our loyalty is undeniable." ~Zyenix

☼Tribe Type & Other☼

This is a Warrior Cats Roleplay tribe. If you or any of your friends like to roleplay, this tribe is for you. Ask another member of the tribe to teach you how to roleplay if you don't know how.

☼Location & Prey☼

WeatherClan is on a high plateau, a forest placed on the top. Our prey is as any normal Clan, but there are more birds than the other Clans because of our altitude. To get down, at the edge of the forest is a large slope that leads to the other surrounding Clans.

☼Rules☼

• No bullying the other members of the tribe. If this happens, you will be warned; happens again, there will be a punishment.

• No powerplaying in the roleplay {Ex: NN, NM}.

• Be active, try to get on at LEAST once a month.

• Respect the decisions the higher ranks make within the tribe.

• You do not have to dress like a warrior cat, it is optional.

• Ask Willowstar {Fluffybudgie} or Umber {Pumazing} if you would like drama to happen in the Clan roleplay {floods, attacks, etc}.

• You may only have one account in this tribe. Storages will be kicked.

• Only a maximum of 3 cats per account are allowed.

• Do not spy on our allies. They are our friends, not enemies.

• The time spent playing the game for new invited members must be between 1-2 months at MINIMUM. This is to prevent alternate accounts from entering the clan.

☼Inviting Message☼

Want to join WeatherClan? You just have to know how to roleplay Warrior Cats and understand our ways (the warrior code). Whisper Fluffybudgie an example of roleplay!

Honey: Honey is used to treat sore throats.

Mouse Bile: Mouse bile is used to make ticks release their grip on a cat.

Wild Garlic: Rolling in this herb can help to keep infection out of wounds. It is also good for rat bites.

Other Non-Herbal Treatments:

1. Gently nipping a cat's spine or pokeing it hard with a claw tests to see if the backbone is broken. If the subject does not feel the nip or poke, then the sprine is broken. Many times a medicene cat will have to poke/nip the subject multiple times in different places to find the break.

2. Licking a cat's fur can help clean wounds, comfort/calm down a shocked or grieving cat, and warm a cat who has become very cold. (Lick the cat's fur the wrong way to do this. The last method is most often used on kits.)

3. Soaking moss in water and holding the dripping moss before a sick, injured or weak cat makes it easier for them to drink. Soaked moss can also be used to cool feverish cats.

4. Rosemary or mint can be used to lighten the death-scent of a dead cat before burial.

5. Using nectar, honey or mouse blood can make herbs sweeter and more appealing to cats--therefore making it easier to take the medicene.

6. Holding a swelling wound in cold water takes down swelling. Cats can also soothe scraped pads by soaking them in water.

7. A cat with weak or hurting muscles/bone can take part in water therapy. Have them wade in water that is not too deep or shallow, and eventually they'll get stronger.

8. Having a sick cat wail or yowl keeps their lungs and chest clear of mucus.

Taking Care of Your Herbs:

Here is how a medicene cat should keep their herbs fresh and useable.

--If any herbs are wet, leave them out in the sun until they dry.

--Gather fresh herbs when your stock gets low.

--Leave enough of the herb on the plant you use for gathering it so it can reproduce

--Check your store often and throw out old herbs or herbs that have lost their healing qualities.

Other Herbs To Keep in the Medicene Den:

Note: ONLY use these herbs for self-defense against a cat who is a danger to all the Clans, or if a cat from your own Clan asks for a quick, painless path to StarClan while on his or her deathbed.

Holly Berries: A poisonous berry. Cats die almost instantly if they are consumed. If consumtion if not intentional, use yarrow to get the berries out of the cat's stomach.

Deathberries (Yew berries): A posionous berry. Cats die almost insyantly if they are consumed. If consumtion is not intentional, use yarrow to get the berries out of the cat's stomach.

The berries listed above can also be used as traps for dangerous predators. (Snakes, moutian lions, foxes, badgers, ect.) Stuff a piece of fresh-kill with these berries and set it near the pedator's den. They will die quickly and painlessly.
Let me know if I missed one!

Techniques
Back Kick - Explosive surprise move to catch opponent from behind. Judge opponent's distance from you carefully, then lash out with your back legs, taking all weight on your front paws.[1]
Belly Rake - A fight-stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws against the soft flesh of the opponent's belly. If you're pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back into control.[1]
Front Paw Blow - Frontal attack. Bring your front paw down hard on your opponent's head. Claws sheathed.[1]
Front Paw Strike/Forepaw Slash - Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the face or body of your opponent.[1]
Killing Bite - A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort.[1]
Leap-and-hold - Ideal for a small cat facing a larger opponent. Spring onto opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of the opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch for the drop-and-roll counter move, and try to jump free before you get squashed.[1]
Partner Fighting - Warriors who have trained and fought together will often fall instinctively into a defensive position, each protecting each other's back while fending off an opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers.[2]
Play Dead - Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes his/her grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and put you in attacking position.[2]
Scruff Shake - Secure a strong teeth grip in the scruff of your opponents neck; then shake violently until he or she is too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, who are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them.[2]
Tail Yank - Grab your opponent's tail and yank it with such force your opponent is thrown off balance.
Teeth Grip - Target your opponent's extremities- the legs, tail, scruff or ears- and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap-and-hold except your claws remain free to fight.[2]
Upright Lock - Final, crushing move on already weakened opponent. Rear up on back legs and bring weight down on opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip him under you. This makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so it takes great strength and speed.[2]
Half-Turn Belly Rake - Turn onto your side, slip under the opponent's belly, rake it with your claws, then swiftly turn back onto all fours out from under your opponent.[3]
Badger Defense: Leap over opponent, turn on your back legs and bite opponent's leg. Used only when fighting badgers.
Duck and Twist: Simple defensive move. The cat ducks then twists around, rolling over onto his/her back, and then springs to their paws.
Jump and pin: Complicated move. Leap backwards, and bounce off the wall. With precise accuracy, land on the cat.
Examples
Belly Rake:
Mudfur has the upper hand fighting Adderfang when Adderfang uses this move on him, changing the possession of the upper hand.[4]
Fireheart uses the Belly Rake against Tigerclaw while defending Bluestar in the battle against the rogues.
Front Paw Blow:
Used by Snowpaw and Bluepaw against Crookedpaw in the battle for defense of Sunningrocks.[5]
This move is also used to swipe at the dog 's muzzle when it comes close to entering RiverClan's camp.[6]
Used by Crookedstar against Mapleshade when Willowbreeze dies, and he seeks vengeance. She then uses it in return on him.[7]
Forepaw Slash:
Frogkit asks Crookedjaw to show this move to him.[8]
While Shredtail and Thistleclaw are practicing battle moves in the Dark Forest, Shredtail executes a series of violent Forepaw Slashes on his opponent Thistleclaw.[9]
Used by both Mudfur and Adderfang in the fight for Sunningrocks.[4]
Mapleshade uses this on Crookedstar once she had gotten her revenge.[7]
Used by WindClan warriors against Sunfall and Sparrowpelt.[10] Also used by Stonepelt in the same battle.[11]
Killing Bite:
Taught to and used against Thistleclaw by Silverhawk in the Dark Forest.[12]
Crookedstar attempts to use this against Mapleshade when Willowbreeze dies, but she fights back by pushing up, and Crookedstar fails.[13]
Leap-and-Hold:
Used by Ottersplash and Beetlepaw while attacking the heron.[14]
Used by Bluepaw against Crookedpaw in defense of Sunningrocks. It is noted that she was clinging onto him like a burr.[15]
Crookedpaw uses this to fight the dog that threatened Willowpaw and Graypaw's lives.[6]
Used by Silverhawk against Thistleclaw while executing battle moves in the Dark Forest.[12]
Crookedstar uses this against Mapleshade once Willowbreeze dies.[7]
Used against Adderfang by unknown WindClan warriors in the battle against WindClan.[10]
Used by a group of apprentices in The Darkest Hour.[source?]
Partner Fighting:
Used by Firepaw and Graypaw while fighting ShadowClan in Into the Wild [source?]
Used by Bluepaw and Snowpaw fighting Crookedjaw, a RiverClan cat, in the battle in defense of the Sunningrocks.[5]
Used by Ivypaw and Dovepaw fighting in Fading Echoes against ShadowClan.[source?]
Sunfall and Sparrowpelt partner fight to attack WindClan warriors in the battle against WindClan.[10]
Used by Stormtail and Dappletail in Bluestar's Prophecy against WindClan.[source?]
Used by Brambleclaw and Crowfeather
Play Dead:
Used many times by Firestar. As an apprentice, he surprise attacks Yellowfang by playing dead, then exploding upwards and throwing her back.[16] .
Firestar beat Scourge with this move by going limp under him then leaping up and taking him by surprise.[17] Also used by a warrior that Sandstorm defeated.[source?]
Used by Lionpaw in Outcast against a black-and-white she-cat from the rogues invading the Tribe. The move was prompted by Hawkfrost.[18]
Teeth Grip:
Used by Brambleclaw in the fight against Tigerstar and the rogues. Also explained in Battles Of The Clans.[source?]
Used by Crookedkit when first meeting Fleck.[19]
Used by Bluepaw against Crookedpaw in the battle for defense of Sunningrocks.[20] In the same battle, this is used by Snowpaw against Crookedpaw.[5]
When Mudfur fights for RiverClan for Sunningrocks, he uses this against Adderfang, who quickly uses it on Mudfur again to snap at his forelegs.[4]
Used in battle against WindClan by Stormtail against countless WindClan warriors. WindClan warriors also used this against Adderfang.[21]
Half-Turn Belly Rake:
Used by Bluepaw in Bluestar's Prophecy when she shows Lionpaw and Goldenpaw the move after being asked by Lionpaw's mentor Swiftbreeze to perform it to show the two younger apprentices how do it one day at a battle training session. Lionpaw then tries the move. He is quick but clumsy, and his sister Goldenpaw preforms the move well, but she thinks too long before she does the move, and is gently scolded by Swiftbreeze.[3]
Used by Snowfur against Crookedpaw when fighting RiverClan to defend Sunningrocks.[15]
Used by Crookedstar against Mapleshade when Willowbreeze is killed.[7]
Other Techniques
Rear-up to Slash:
To hurt opponents coming from the air, this move can be used to rear up on the hind legs and slashing at the enemy. Used by Crookedkit to defend against the magpie[22] and Fleck.[19]
Taught to Crookedkit more accurately by Mapleshade.[23]
Used by Crookedpaw against Bluepaw to almost defeat her in the battle for Sunningrocks.[5]
When Thistleclaw is practicing in the Dark Forest, he uses this move against his mentor, Shredtail.[24]
Both Adderfang and Mudfur use this move to regain control of the Sunningrocks.[4]
Attack Crouch:
Crouching down to leap out onto your enemy. Used by Crookedkit when first meeting Fleck.[25]
Tucking in the Tail:
The less you give your enemy to hold on to, the better. This technique takes practice, as balancing with a tucked-in tail is tricky. Taught to Crookedpaw by Mapleshade.[26] Crookedpaw later uses this against Beetlenose, who hisses that it wasn't fair to hide his tail. Cedarpelt's gaze darkens, saying that only ThunderClan cats hide their tails.[27]
Thistleclaw tucks in his tail when fighting Shredtail in the Dark Forest.[24]
Bushing out Fur:
Taught to Crookedpaw by Cedarpelt. In contrast, Mapleshade taught him to slick down his fur to fool his opponent into thinking he looked weaker than he really was.[28]
Arched Back:
Used to intimidate the opponent or to vent out anger. Used against Crookedpaw by Sunfall in the battle for Sunningrocks.[29]
Shoulder Drop:
This move is performed by grabbing the opponent's shoulders and then locking them against the ground. From here, the cat can do anything such as churning their hind paws against their spine. Crookedpaw used this technique against Bluepaw in the battle for Sunningrocks.[30]
Used by Crookedjaw later on when Mapleshade tells him he must show no love for Willowbreeze.[31]
Used by Mudfur against Adderfang for control of Sunningrocks. This move stops the battle, and RiverClan ends in success.[32]
Mapleshade locks Crookedstar in this position while she tells her bitter story and quest for revenge.[13]
Roll Over:
Used by rolling over to avoid an enemy's swipes or grip. Mudfur uses this against Adderfang in the battle for Sunningrocks.
Used to crush an opponent that is on your back. Badgers can crush cats this way.[4]
Badger Defense("Advanced"):
An "advanced" badger defense move taught to Lionpaw by Tigerstar. Leap over opponent, turn on your back legs, and, while turning, rake your claws on opponent's back. Then sink teeth into opponent's leg. Used only when fighting badgers.[33]

Shine, a rouge, stumbled around the forest, her weary paws aching like thorns. Her stomach growled louder, making it hard to concentrate. She scented the crisp leaffall air, only to find no prey. Just then, a white and grey cat leapt onto her, pinning her to the ground. Shine struggled, only to find herself locked in the mysterious cats' grasp. Taking a closer look, she saw the cat had a white underbelly with grey fur and white patches on her paws. Her flourescent blue eyes sparkled-she was probably about 7 moons old. Shine, not much older, felt her strength return, leaping up and pinning the other cat into the same position she had just been in. The young cat squealed, exited. For a little while they began tumbling around on the forest floor, not caring about the time. Soon, the moon crawled up from the mountains, creating a faint glow on the small clearing they were in.
"Come with me!" Shine's new friend called, racing towards the moon.
Racing along, they approached something.. Peculiar. A thick bramble wall surrounded what seemed like a huge rock, sparkling in the moonlight. An entrance of vines hanging down a small arch allowed them to get in. A few trees grew inside of the place, towering above her higher than any trees she had seen before. Turning to see her friend rush in, she followed, her paws stumbling. Walking in, she fluffed out her fur as she saw many eyes staring at her. Cats! Backing slowly away, she found herself cornered. What was she going to do?
"Stop! She's my friend!" Shine knew who had said it, and all of the eyes turned to face her.
"You befriended this rouge, Snowpaw?" an older, tawny colored cat spat, her eyes narrowed.
"She's nice! Isn't that right?" Snowpaw asked her, stepping in the way of the cats, who now murmured among themselves darkly.
"Traitor!" one of them yowled, and the others joined in.
We are just friends! What's the harm in that? Shine thought, her anger rising.
"That's enough." a strong, muscular grey she-cat approached, and the massive crowd of cats parted to let her through. She must be the leader. How cool! Shine thought, exited although her face showed no sign as she dipped her head in greeting to the massive cat. "Who are you?" she asked, narrowing her eyes at Shine.
"I am Shine. I mean no harm to your cats. I have befriended Snowpaw-is it?" Shine answered, giving a flick of the ears to Snowpaw. "And who are you?"
"I am Greystar, leader of SingeClan. Snowpaw has broken the warrior code. You have no right to be here. If you come back again, I will have you both exiled." Greystar warned. She must have no patience! Shine thought, shivering.

Moons have passed, and Shine is now a full grown cat. She has gotten stronger, although her friendship with Snowpaw grew just as much. They had many adventures, and the Clan never knew. Now comes one of the most important moments in Shine's life...

An owl hooted in the distance as Shine settled down with a mouse. Her hunting had improved, and now she felt she could take on any cat, any time. Snowpaw had been giving her hunting training at night. Waiting for her to come so they could play, Shine thought Snowpaw would never show up. Giving in to her tiredness, she slumped into her nest and fell into a dream.
Waking up, she saw Snowpaw rushing towards her, looking like the sun herself.
"Guess what, Shine?" Snowpaw asked, bouncing up and down excitedly.
"What?" Shine asked, curious. What could she want?
"I'm not Snowpaw anymore-I'm Snowfur! I'm a warrior now." Snowfur puffed out her chest, her pride showing brighter than StarClan.
Shine had been taught the warrior code and all about StarClan-she was more interested than she had ever been in anything. She loved the idea of Clans and the warrior code. Just then, Shine heard a rustling in the bushes, and Greystar came out, her anger flooding into the small clearing. Shine froze, knowing what would happen. Snowfur would be exiled!
Snowfur hung her head in shame, knowing what she had done. "Shine, this is not your fault." Snowfur told her, her flourescent blue eyes now dull compared to when she first saw her.
"Let's go, rouges." Greystar sneered, leading the way back to camp, her nose in the air with dignity as she entered the bramble camp and left the two in the clearing.
"I'm sorry." Shine whispered, guilt overwhelming her. She had gotten her only friend exiled from her Clan! Now what would she do?
"I am too. I brought you into this mess." Snowfur whispered back, their heads close together in a small group in the middle of the clearing.
Greystar stood tall on the Highrock and began to call a Clan meeting. "May all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here underneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!" she yowled, and the cats began to gather around the two cats, sneering, hissing, and spitting insults at them. Greystar raised her tail for silence.
"Snowfur has gone against my requests and has continued to stay as this rouges' friend. For that, I am exiling her. If anyone is to see Snowfur on our territory, kill her." Greystar hissed. "Snowfur, Shine, I give you this day only to leave our territory before my cats will kill you on sight. Now leave before I claw your pelts' off."

Shine's guilt overwhelmed her. Looking behind her, the trees seemed to be reaching towards her with grasping claws to attack her. Snowfur was worse, jumping whenever they stepped on a twig. We shouldn't be this slumped over that mange-pelted leader! That gives me an idea... Shine thought. "Snowfur! I just thought of the perfect idea..."

Snowfur brought in the next stack of brambles, leaves, and twigs covered in mud. They had finished half of the camp. The two had settled down just outside of their territory, where no other Clan was. Now they were their own Clan.... WeatherClan. Shine had found a huge rock that tower higher than SingeClan's. A small crevice in the bottom would become Shine's den, and there were small rabbit holes they were digging out for the warriors, apprentices, elders, and warriors dens. Now all they had left were the apprentices and elders den before the camp was finished. "Snowfur, do you recon I give myself a proper name?" Shine asked, her voice muffled by a stack of brambles as she weaved them onto the elders' den. It had one patch left until it was done.
"That's a great idea! How about...." Snowfur stopped a moment to think, her tail under her chin. "Shiningstar, because your spirit shines before this Clan like that of StarClan itself." She purred.

Shiningstar liked the new name, and she stuck with it to the very end. Now you may wonder... How did any cats get into this Clan? Well... Here's how...

Shiningstar let out a purr of thanks as Snowfur came and dropped a mouse at her feet. They shared, the leafbare making prey scarce. It was not long after they finished the camp that leafbare hit. Snow coated the dens, in which were now sturdy enough to withstand what seemed like anything. Shiningstar had almost finished her mouse when she heard an earsplitting cry for help. Giving Snowfur a nod, they both raced towards the noise. Hopefully nobody is hurt! Shiningstar worried, fear growing although she showed no sign of it. They twisted around a large birch tree to find a tortoiseshell she-cat with jet-black fur and emerald green eyes. She was laying on a small moss circle. She must live here! Shiningstar thought. The tortoiseshell let out another yowl. Then it hit Shiningstar-this cat was having kits!
What would she do? She didn't know medicine, neither did Snowfur. How would they help? Shiningstar turned to Snowfur and nodded, rushing towards the only Clan she knew-SingeClan. She knew she would be hated, but she knew what she had to do. Reaching the bramble camp, she rushed through the vine entrance, she heard spitting and yowling as she bolted into the medicine den. She was right-their medicine cat was there, sorting herbs in the back and muttering to herself.
"Please, help! There is a cat kitting and she looks in alot of pain and I don't know what to do and..." Shiningstar spilled out her thoughts like a wailing kit, leaving a shocked look on the medicine cats' face, which turned to determination as she followed Shiningstar out of the den. Then Shiningstars' biggest fear came true-Greystar was blocking the way out. "What have we here?" Greystar sneered, slowly creeping forward. "Shine has returned? Well... You know what that me-"
"Stop!" the medicine cat hissed. "She only came to help a cat. Is that too much to ask?"
Greystar looked shocked, stepping out of the way and hissing as Shiningstar lead the way out. Shiningstar dashed through the bushes, with the medicine cat-who had her herbs ready by this time-was dashing behind her, keeping pace easily. Hearing the tortoiseshell yowl again, she dashed faster, weaving through the trees quicker than she thought possible. Finding the birch tree again, she settled down next to Snowfur, who looked relieved that Shiningstar had brought help, and watched as the medicine cat treated quickly, giving her herbs faster than she could say "mouse". Soon, the kitting queen let out a final earsplitting yowl before Shiningstar turned to see a tiny kit, in which let out a feeble mew. The medicine cat handed the kit to Snowfur.
"Lick this kit clean." she ordered, turning to Shiningstar. "It was very brave of you to come into what you knew might have killed you to help this cat. StarClan will honor your bravery. I will mention this to the Clan."
Puffing out her chest, Shiningstar purred in thanks, watching as the medicine cat padded away across the forest floor, avoiding trees. Shiningstar turned to Snowfur, nodding as they rose up from the ground and looked to the queen. "Congratulations." Shiningstar purred.
"Thank you so much! If it weren't for you, I would have died!" the tortoiseshell purred. "Can I come with you? I would feel much safer if my kits grew around you. I will ask my mate, Pale, if he will come with me."
Shiningstar and Snowfur exchanged exited looks, turning to the queen. "That would be great." Shiningstar answered. "Follow me, I will take you to camp." Leading the way back, Shiningstar gave Snowfur a look as she scented mouse. Scurrying away, she saw it, taking small yet quick bites on a seed. Dropping low as she was taught, she crept across the undergrowth, slithering towards the mouse like that of an adder. Pouncing, she purred as she killed the mouse and held it in her jaws, drinking in the sweet scent of fresh-kill. Padding back to camp, she saw Snowfur holding the tortoiseshell's kit as she guided the queen inside of the nursery, tucking them into the moss nest and coming out to see Shiningstar. "She took a moment to see Pale, who lives quite close to us. He is comi-" Snowfur was broken off as a muscular grey tom padded into the camp, shouldering his way past the two. He looked unaffected by the snowy ground, his paws hard. Padding into the den, his gaze softened onto the new kit. Shiningstar followed him in, taking the first good look at the kit. It had the same pelt as Pale, although it had her mothers' eyes.
"It's getting late." Shiningstar jumped as Snowfur called down into the den. "We should be getting to sleep."
Taking Snowfur's advice, she padded into the leaders' den and slunk into her nest, falling asleep.

They continued as normal for the next moon, and the tortoiseshell became known as Fallentail. Pale was called Darkpelt, after his black-ish pelt. Nothing unusual happened-everything was normal. Now the season is Newleaf, the cold shallowing into a simple breeze. Today, Shiningstar would begin to lead her Clan.

Shiningstar woke up from dreaming, Snowfur prodding her awake. She heard commotion outside and began to worry. Was something wrong? She quickly woke up, padding outside. She ignored the aching in her back, for what she saw was more shocking than she could ever imagine. Standing at the entrance... Was every single cat other than Greystar of SingeClan. They all had ribs that pierced through their skin, starved. What happened to them?
"Greystar has become more strict..." one of them moaned.
"Featherpool told us of your courage, and we saw it ourselves. We have come to join you." a cat who looked like the old deputy added, stepping forward. "Will you accept us into your Clan?"
"You are all welcome to join. We will offer hospitality and friendship just as any other Clan, as long as you return that favor." Shiningstar called across the cats. "Snowfur is deputy, and I, Shiningstar, am your leader."
