The next day in the training center Clara and Peter stood in the middle of the room deciding what they should work on first. "Weapons maybe?" implied Peter, glancing over at the rows of weapons haning upon the walls and along the tables. "No... we can work on those later. We should do something that we really need help with. We both are already pretty good at fighting." She replied and pointed over to the fire and trap center. Peter nodded and walked in front of her to take the lead to the station. Everyone around them were practicing at various stations. Each of them seemed to be occupied by their station and didn't pay much attention to the other tributes around them. They intimidated Clara. She wasn't used to be around people that were so feirce and strong. They seemed a lot stronger than her and Peter were. They worked at the fire and trapping station for about an hour before they decided to go and work on something else. Before they could decide on where they should go the two tributes1 blocked their path. The girl was the first one to say anything, "Hi I'm Rose, and this is Tyler." she said with a friendly smile. Clara glanced over at Peter and then glanced back to the two tributes. "Hi, I'm Clara and this is Peter. What district are you from?" she asked cautiously, wondering if they wanted inside information or they actually wanted an alliance with them. The thought seemed silly to her. Who would want an alliance with them? They were considered weak compared to most of the tributes there, like anyone would want to be their friends. But maybe they could convince them to team up with each other, the more the merrier right? |

[The Next Days... Individual Assesment] The room was silent. Everyone stood in a line down the small room that was. The room was metal, like almost all the other rooms. The shallow breathing was the only sound in the room at the moment, until someone would occasionally cough or whisper to the other tribute from their district. Jay was wearing a black suit with Capitol marks on it. He stretched himself out, feeling the weird suit clutching to his skin and making him itch. Symyst was beside him twitching with anxiety. Jay put and hand on her shoulder. She looked up at him. He smiled. She smiled. Symyst was calm. Jay turned and faced ahead. District 1 lady tribute went first. After a couple moments, she came back out of there with a nice smile. This went in the same order, each tribute going in and not coming out for a few minutes. Their expressions were all different. Jay and Symyst both noticed because they began to shake slightly. Jay pressed himself against the wall to hide himself from view from anyone else. He was embarrassed. "Jay Crovun" came over the speaker in the room. Symyst was just exiting, she had a bright smile on her face. She whispered to Jay good luck, then Jay walked forward. His eyes adjusted, getting slightly fuzzy when he entered through the door. He looked behind him to see the door closing, locking him in. He turned back around, gulping, and stepped into the large open area. It looked exactly like the training room, just open and having different places for him to go. Jay's eyes looked toward the axes first. He started toward them. A voice came over the speaker. "Jay Crovun, you have 5 minutes to demonstrate your chosen talent for us." Jay nodded, picking up a silver axe in his hand. It was one sided and very sharp. He looked over to the simulation area. He walked over there, his eyes looking at the crowd above watching him. He got to the simulation area. He pressed a button, selected his weapon, then he entered. The glass doors shut behind him. He stood on a pad in the center, and then it counted down from 3 to 1. When it hit one, Jay raised his axe to his side. People came. They were black figures made of round balls that made men. They had different kinds of weapons in their hands. One materialized, the figure shocking Jay slightly but he quickly ducks down from the black speer he throws, and then Jay releases his right hand, sending his Axe straight into the chest of the Simulation Man. It exploded and then another came for him with a sword. Jay slid to the side, angling his body to swing a strike straight in the back of the neck to sever his head. The Simulation Man exploded. Another came, this time, it had a bow. Jay clumsily, threw himself to the side and fell to the ground, a black arrow whizzing by him. Quickly reastablishing himself, he got onto a knee, leaning his axe behind him, shutting one eye. He breathed slowly, then threw it. The axe flew and then hit the Simulation Man in the chest, it exploded. The Simulation Ended. He looked up, his breathing was okay and he retrieved his axe. He walked toward the stand, placed his axe back, then walked toward the door. The people's eyes were contently on him, one had a smile on his face while the others had good poker faces. |

[Individual Assessments] Rose sat next to Tyler, he had his hand on her thigh as the two stared at their feet. She looked up and smiled at Clara and whispered, "We are from District 1." As her head immediatly went back to looking at her feet, she was wearing a comfortable black suit that went all the way down to her black boots. "Rose Glimmer." A raspy voice said over the intercom. Rose stood up and Tyler smiled a reassuring smile towards her as she entered the elevator. She was lowered down to the training room, but it was clear of people except tjhe gamemakers watching her every move. She smiled, and the head gamemaker nodded. Rose tightened her ponytail, and made her way to the knives case. She picked up as many knives as she could and attatched them to her belt, "Rose Glimmer you have 5 minutes to show us your chosen talent." Rose nodded and walked towards the simulation. It turned on and black holographic people formed all around her. She quickly threw knives at unarmed people, and a man with a sword appeared. He ran at her and she jumped, gracefully flipping over his body, and quickly turning around she stabbed him in the back, and he exploded. She ran over to a tree and quickly climbed it, from up there she skillfully threw knives, nailing people in the head, and heart. One holographic person climbed up the tree and she kicked him down, as she threw a knife towards his falling body, The simulation turned off. And she wasn't even scratched. She jumped down from the tree as it disappeared. She looked up at the gamemakers and nodded and she walked towards the elevator. When she arrived back with the rest of the tributes, she gave them all a kind smile and sat next to Tyler, she put her hand on his cheek and smiled. Ruby had developed a love for Tyler that wasn't going to end. But she knew only one person was coming out. |

(~ Individual Assessment Day~) Clara sat in the waiting room for their individual assessments. Her and Peter were sitting next to each other, and he couldn't stop fidgeting around in his seat. He was anxious for the individual assessments, and so was Clara, but she didn't want the other tributes to see how anxious she was for her individual assessment. They would think of her as one of the weaker ones. So she did everything that she could to keep herself calm and composed so that the other tributes wouldn't target her just because they thought she was weak. Controlling her emotions wasn't one of her best talents, but she did everything in that moment to make it one of her best. The last thing she wanted was for the other tributes to think that she was an easy target. The other tributes that they had spoken to the toher day in the training center were sitting next to her and Peter. The girl, Rose, broke the silence of the room and said to Clara, "We're from district one." Clara gave her a friendly smile, and just like that silence engulfed the room again until the loud voice spoke on the speakers and asked for, "Rose Glimmer." Rose arose from her seat and confidently walked over the elevator that would take her to her individual assessment. Before the elevator door could close Clara smiled slightly at her at an attempt to reassure her. It didn't take long for Clara's name to be called. She was from district two and they went in order all the way from 1 to 12. When they called her name before Peter he smiled at her silently wished her luck. She returned his smile and calmly walked over to the elevator. When she was inside of the elevator it was the only time she had felt alone in the past couple days. No one was watching her and no one could hear her. She decided that this was the last time that she could release her anger and anxiety without anyone seeing her. So she let go, just for a moment, and started slamming her fists against the elevator walls, bruising them in the process. And just like that she had released all of her feelings at an elevator wall. She composed herself and did her best to act like she hadn't almost broken her hand punching the elevator wall out of pure anger. When she entered the room all she could hear was the faint talking of the people from the capitol above her. Most of them were staring straight at her and she averted her eyes from their stares at an attempt to feel less uncomfortable. Then the same voice came on the speakers and told her, "Clara you have 5 minutes. You may begin." She took a deep breath and walked straight over to the table of knives. She grabbed what was left of them and placed them on the place of her belt that they were meant for. She walked over to the room where the simulation was. When she entered it the doors closed behind her, and she pressed the button to activate the simulation. At first nothing happened and everything went silent, but then a black sillhouettes of what seemed to resemble a people started running at her, each with a different weapon in their hands. The first one had a bow and shot an arrow at her. Before it could hit her she ducked and it skimmed past her head. She grabbed one of her knives from her belt and threw it at the black figure. it shattered into an explosion of black pieces and fell to the ground. Before she could compose herself another one ran at her from her right. This time it was faster than the other one had attempted and had an axe ready to swing. It approached her quickly and swung at her with immense force, but before the axe could hit her she jumped to the side out of the range of the axe. Then she threw a knife at it and hit it right in the stomach and it shattered just like the last one had. She looked up from the mess and this time two were coming at her at the same time, both armed with spears. She threw a knife at the one on her left, hitting it in the head, and ducked under the spear that the other one had thrown. She got up again and quickly threw a knife at the second one successfully hitting it in the arm. After the last one had shattered the lights came on again and just like that the simulation was over. As she walked towards the elevator that would take her back up she was contemplating whether or not the judges had thought she did good or not. They hadn't said anything when she was finished, and their faces were expressionless. This made her worry whether she had done good or not, if she had done good they might have at least said something to her. But silence was the only thing that spoke to her. |

Jay and Symyst were now in their room, where they were staying to wait for the Hunger Games to actually begin. It was two days away, tomorrow night they would go on Caesar's show, say a couple words. Then in the morning they would enter into the blood bath. It wasn't much of a room, anyway. It was like a pent house on top of a gigantic skyscraper that could basically see everything going on in the Capitol. The walls facing the city were made of glass, which were only one way so no one could see in at what the tributes were doing. Jay and Symyst were not alone, in the living room. THe living room had two staircases leading to it on either side, very small. The ground gave way into a nice, bright fuzzy red carpet that Jay did not like. Symyst argued that it was soft and looked pretty. On the walls, which had different wallpapers, pictures of other victors loitered around the walls. Jay thought it was quite creepy. Anyway, Jay and Symyst were not alone. Viim, Beaury, and Violetta were there on the pink, fluffy couch watching the projecting screen in front of them, which was propped up on a black stand. Nothing matched in this room, Jay thought. It was all a bit too flamboyant for him which made him itch uncomfortably. Symyst was smiling, clearly wanting to see what score she got. Jay was curious. He had no idea how he did or what score he would even achieve. He wanted it to be high, though. Jay looked at her. She had milky skin and her eyes were beautiful. He seemed to get lost in them quite often. He shook his head and faced forward. /I can not fall for her... When the time comes I'm going to have to kill her... or she is going to kill me/ he thought inside his head. He still wanted to say something to her. "Confident in your score?" Jay asked her without looking at her. He saw the movement of her head up and down wildly. She nodded. Viim shushed everyone and Jay saw the screen light up with the projection. He was about to recieve his scores. The screen showed all the tributes, and listed the Scores as followed. [Basing on who is playing] Rose: Score of 9 Clara: Score of 10 Jay: Score of 9 Jay's ears tuned out all the cheering and excitment. Symyst got an 8. Jay actually did better than her. His entire body went frigid and he stood staring at the screen. He stood like this for a minute or so, until Beaury hit him in the back, congratulating him. Symyst smiled at him and hugged him. Jay subconsciously put his arms around her and hugged her tight. Viim clapped and Violetta only grinned. "Impressive scores." Violetta applauded the both of them. Jay smiled at all of them and thanked them. Maybe he did have a chance. But Clara's score was the best, and she was a career so how is he going to compete? But that did not matter. He merely smiled at himself. [NEXT DAY, LATE NIGHT] The tributes were in another metal box room waiting on the off stage of the Caesar show. They were all dressed up and looking nice. The crowd's loud roar echoed through the room and everyone had a smile on there face. Except for a couple, who got 5's and 6's in the scoring process. Jay thought he felt bad for them, but really, he was proud for himself that he got such a higher score. But, he had a mission. He needed to get sponsors and Caesar's show. He did not know how to interact with anyone. He wasn't funny, or cute, just plain and simple. Jay sighed. Sponsors could mean the life of him in the Arena. He shrugged it off. Jay thought he was gonna wing it, like he did with almost everything, like the Chariot Ride. He heard a soothing voice over the loud speaker, which called a name. It had began, and he was going soon. |

Rose and Tyler sat in their room on the 1st floor, waiting for their scores. Tyler and everyone had already eaten but Rose couldn't eat at the time. She stared at her hands, she was flipping around the locket her mother had given to her before she went towards the train. She opened it and it had a picture of Rose and her family and then a picture of Rose and Sarah. A tear fell from Rose's cheek as she thought about her family and Sarah. Tyler put his arm around her shoulder and wiped the tear off of her face, "I'm sure you'll see them again." He said, smiling and closing the locket. The screen turned on and Ceaser began reading the scores. Rose smiled at Tyler and then turned to watch the scores. "Ahh, District 1 tribute, Rose Glimmer," Rose's picture appeared on the screen. A strong confident blonde that wasn't intimidated by anyone. Ceaser opened the envelope and smiled as he looked to the camera, "with a 9." Rose smiled as everybody cheered for her. Tyler smiled and pulled her hand into his, "Nice aim." He winked and turned back towards the screen, "Tyler Rodriguez," Tyler squeezed Rose's hand, "with a 9." Tyler let go and crossed his arms, "I wanted a 12!" He laughed as they watched the other scores. The highest score was a 10 by the girl from district 2. Rose wasn't surprised, she looked good. And they shared a talent of knife throwing, but Rose wondered what Clara could've done better than her. She stood up and grabbed an apple so she could get rest before the interviews tomorrow. {The Next Day} All the tributes were once again gathered in a small room, waiting for Ceaser's show. Rose wore a beautiful pale blue dress that went to her knees, with sparkles at the bottom, and a silver lace strap across her hips, with silver heels. Her hair was the same it was for the chariot ride with a silver flower in it. Tyler chatted with other tributes as Rose nervously waited to be called out, she knew it was her last chance to earn sponsers, so she had to impress the capitol people. She watched the other tributes talk and nervously wait. She felt bad for everyone, nobody deserved to be here. "Rose Glimmer," A person called her name, and led her to the stairs and instructed her to wait there until Caeser called her. He introduced himself and sat down, "How about our District 1 tribute, Rose Glimmer to start our lovely night?" He called to the crowd, that immediatly roared, "C'mon out Rose!" He yelled. Rose stepped on to the stage and the capitol people went mad, she smiled and waved to them as she sat down next to caeser, with his pale purple hair and lips. |

(~ Scoring Day ~) Clara and Peter were in the room that the capitol provides them, waiting for their scores to be released. Both of their stylists and mentor were in the room waiting with them on the couch. Their room was furnished with very colorful appliances and furniture that didn't match at all. It all clashed together and made the room seem like something that a kid would prefer. Peter sat next to her on the couch doing that thing with his fingers that he always did when he was anxious. She didn't bother hiding her emotions, they were in their own room with their own team, andthey don't judge each other. Her leg bounced up and down in a rapid fashion and she put her head in her hands. She took a deep sigh trying to calm her nerves. She wasn't sure if she had done good or not. They hadn't said anything and that made her feel like she had gotten a bad score. When the scores finally appeared on the screen they waited until districts two's scores came up. The first one was Peter's, he had gotten a 7, which was an okay score compared to some people's. Clara looked at her score in shock and squeeled with excitement. She had gotten a 10, a lot better than she thought she had done. Everyone congradulated her and Peter on their scores. "Very nice job you guys!" Gina said, smiling a bright happy smile. She was surprised, she hadn't expected to get that score. At least a 7 would have made her happy, but a 10 made her smile brighter than she had in a long time. It made her feel more confident about this whole process and for once she felt like she had a chance. (~ Before Caesar's Show ~) Clara and Peter waited to be called to go up on the stage. They were both anxious to go up on the stage, neither of them had done anything like this before and it scared them both. "You'll do fine Peter, I have faith in you." she told Peter, giggling partly because she was trying to lighten the mood and partly because she was trying to make him feel better. "Haha thanks. You will too." he replied with a smile. They would be some of the first ones going up on the stage. That was one of the bad things about being in district two, you were always one of the first people for everything that they did. But it was kind of good in some ways, they could get it over with faster and didn't have to wait there forever. They called Clara's name first for their district. Her heart skipped a beat when she heard her name, but walked out onto the stage with confidence. |

"Jay Crovun." The women said over the loud speaker. He stood in his green outfit and walked out onto the stage. His ears rang slightly as the crowd screamed and cried out his name. The applause echoed through his mind and whistled across the entire stage. He walked over to Caesar, who then offered him a hand and Jay shook it. He sat down in a comfortable blue chair that glowed around the edges. Caesar smiled and looked at him with expecting eyes. Jay looked out over the crowd. Hundreds of thousands of people gathered to see him talk about the Hunger Games. How could they be so cruel? Jay thought inside his head. Caesar then adjusted, letting the crowd quiet down and then he spoke. His voice was much more normal than any of the other Capitol Citizens' voices. "So, Jay, what are your thoughts going into the 56th Hunger Games?" Caesar persisted, the Crowd looked expectingly at him. Jay did well under pressure. "How bad I'm gonna smell after it..." Jay answered. Caesar laughed wildly, the crowd laughed with him and threw some stuff on stage. He placed his hand on Jay's knee and Jay flinched slightly, but relaxed and laughed with him once again. "We've got a funny one here! Ahahahaha! Anyway," He waited for the crowd to calm, then began again "What did your family say to you when you left?" Caesar asked. Jay searched his face for a non-serious tone, but this was. Jay sighed. "That they believe in me." Jay answered with a thoughtful tone. The crowd awwed, Caesar patted my back. He stood up, raised my hand and screamed my name. The crowd roared. I walked away. [MORNING OF THE HUNGER GAMES.] They were on a plane. Jay and Symyst both boarded in a black uniform that was very tight and made Jay itch and adjust uncomfortably. Occasionally, a peacekeeper would hit him in the shoulder to make him stop fidgeting with himself. They were on the weird flying thing. The peacekeeper sat both of them down next to eachother, bring down these bars to hold down their arms and keep them from falling out of the plane. There were other tributes on their. Like District 1, District 3, District 5, District 7, and District 11 were all on this plane. It was weird and made of metal, like the entirety of the other rooms he had previously been in. Occasionally weird lights would glow and flash that made the place brighter. A girl walked around in a peacekeeper uniform with this weird needle. She went to all the tributes, then came to Jay. He looked at it. He didn't want to ask what it was, because he over heard what it was when Symyst asked. It was his tracker. She pressed the needle into his arm and there was a beep and a flash of light under his skin. After a while, they had arrived. The plane landed and peacekeepers took them down their seperate tunnels into a chamber where the tube was. It was another box, metal room. He hated being caged, because that's what it made him feel like -- Boxed up and not able to move. The tube was glass, and a voice sad one minute to him. Beaury entered and smiled at him, skirting to the side of him and sat down on this weird bench thing that didn't look big enough for someone to sit on. Beaury looked up at him, the purple make up around his eye made Jay want to punch him. But he refrained. "Good luck, Jay. You looked marvelous in those outfits, too." Beaury commented. Jay nodded. IT was silent for the entire time, until then it said Jay had to get in. He walked over there, his legs moving shortly and his breathing became quick and unsteady. His hands shook and his eyes blinked rapidly. He entered the tube. The door turned and shut behind him. He turned and looked at Beaury with a sorrowful look. Beaury waved, and then the tube went up and Jay did, too. |

Rose smiled at Ceaser, "So, Rose, you volunteered for your friend?" she looked to the crowd and then back to Ceaser, "Yes I did." I stated, "Did she visit you before you left?" Rose smiled and said "Yes. She told me she was sorry and I said I was going to come out for her." Caeser smiled and said, "I'm sure you will. And your fellow district member, Tyler, he's a cutie huh?" Rose blushed and said, "Yeah pretty cute," She winked and the crowd went wild, "How did you feel when he kissed you on the chariot?" Rose smiled, "It was when I first realized I actually loved him." The capitol people went crazy and threw roses, "I hope you guys spend quality time togehter then." Caeser stood up and smiled, pulling Rose up with him, "Rose Glimmer!!!" He screamed, the capitol people went wild and chanted Rose's name as she exited, waving to the crowd. {The Day of the Hunger Games} Rose confidently walked with Tyler, holding his hand before they entered the plane, "I don't think i've ever been this nervous in my life." Rose laughed, "We're prepared. It's ok." He squeezed my hand and let go as they walked onto the plane. Rose took a seat and a Peacekeeper walked around making sure they were strapped in and ready. The plane took off and most of the tributes were looking straight forward, holding back the tears. But Rose was confident. She looked out of the plane and stared at the passing wilderness, and old arenas that have turned into mueseums. Another peacekeeper walked by and asked for Rose's hand. She put her hand out, and the peacekeeper inserted the tracker that Rose had learned about in training. When the plane finally landed, she was led to a room with her tube that would take her to the arena, and Maxwell. Maxwell fixed her black suit and smiled, "You'll do great Rose." She nodded as he tucked her golden locket into her hand, "Decide where you want to put this, however I suggest not your neck." He smiled as the voice over the intercom said, "30 seconds." Rose confidently walked into the tube and mouthed to Maxwell, "Thank you." As the 56th Annual Hunger Games was about to go underway. |

(~ Caesar's Show ~) Once Clara had walked onto the stage everything that happened afterwards was a blur. She heard a couple cheers and had managed to make the crowd laugh a couple of times, but nothing that she was proud of. She wasn't good with crowds and the whole experience had made her dizzy. She knew that she probably hadn't gotten many sponsors from the show, and that would really hurt her game. Peter on the other hand had done great on stage. He had made the crowd laugh at pretty much anything he said, and Ceasar seemed to love him. Which was good for Peter. Afterwards she congradulated him and told him that he had done a great job out there. "You definitely earned more sponsors than I did." she said with a chuckle, even though she was completely serious. (~ Hunger Games ~) Clara and Peter were on the plane that had all fo the even numbered districts. They were on their way to the Hunger Games. It was really here. Soon they would both be fighting for their lives, assuming they would be alive within the next hour. Clara grabbed Peter's hand and plastered a smile on her face. She didn't want Peter to see that she was nervous, that would have made him even more scared. She looked over that the other row of seats across the plane and saw that people were coming around with needles. They were inserting something into everyone's wrists. The capitol lady came over to her, grabbed her arm, and stuck the needle in without warning. She flinched at first, but then she regained herself and stared at the transparent light glowing from her wrist. She wasn't sure what it was, but she didn't want to ask the capitol people, she just went along with it. When the plane landed everyone was split up and taken in all kinds of different directions. Before they could seperate Clara and Peter she whispered, "Don't go to the middle of the cornicopia. Go to the sides and just grab one or two things. If you can't do that they just look for me, and if you can't find me just run. Run as far as you can, please. I'll do my best to find you." Before he could say anything in return he was taken away by the capitol workers, and that was the last she would see of him before the Hunger Games started. Clara was dragged into this small room with white walls, and in the center a long tube that led up to the ceiling of the room. That's where she would go to be taken to the actual arena. In the room with her was her stylist, Xotic. They hadn't formed a huge bond, but it was nice to have someone there with her. "Hey! You'll be great! I'll try to get you as many sponsors as I can. You can win this thing, kid." he told her sympatheticly. He was pitying her, he was actual pitying her. She hated that, but it was the though that counts, so she just gave him a big hug. "20 seconds" said a robotic voice, indicating that she should get into the tube. She walked over the the tube and stood inside of it, facing Xotic. Her heart was beating at a thousand miles per minute, and she was almost sure that she could have died right there from a heart attack. It was overwhelming. THis whole thing had happened so fast and it was so intense. All she could do was take a deep breath before she was propelled upwards into the arena. |

[Begining of the 56th Annual Hunger Games. Blubutt {Me} will be controlling how the Capitol re acts as well as sponsors. Sponsors will be based on how they acted during the Caesar show, Chariot ride, and Individual Scoring. The Capitol will react based on how far apart Tribute's are. Now, the Arena is a Taiga forest. A pine tree forest that is snowy. Occasionally it will snow. It is mainly forest, with some clearings. There are streams of water and some watering holes. There are also rock structures, some big some small that home animals. The food will be mainly things living in the snow, and some snowberry bushes. The arena is very large, and is outlined in giant snow mountains that are able to be climbed, but the Capitol will interfere if trying to leave. Happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favour. Keep in mind frostbite, Snow blindness, infection, disease, etc. Blubutt will also control which Tribute's die of natural causes.] The blinding light shot across the clearing where the Cornucopia was. It glittered off the snow on the ground, the pure white making it blinding to look at. Snow blindness was going to be a big problem in the coming future. The 24 podiums were spread out along the clearing, all angling at different sides of the Cornucopia. Luckily, there were crates with things on them outside of the actual strucuture. Jay was up, he blinked his green eyes and stumbled slightly on his podium. He made sure not to step out of it. He did not want to be blown up. /So this was why we were given jackets.../ Jay thought to himself, eying the surroundings. They were surrounded by Taiga. The snow drenched floor was about knee high and would make it hard for him to move quickly. The trees had snow on them that fell off occasionally when a cold gust of wind would come by. Jay shivered. Snow fell. Water was abundant, but animals were probably hiding and would blend in. Jay saw some white bushes with little red things growing on them -- Snowberries. Those were probably going to prove valuable, and he needed to collect them at some point. Jay turned his head back to the center and looked at all the other tributes. Most of them were shivering too. Some were eying places they could run too without too much trouble through the thick blanket of pure white snow and others were looking for a direct path to the weaponry, backpacks, and most of all- warmth. There were jackets spread out on each crate and even some blankets. That was rare. Suddenly a projecting appeared up above the cornucopia, somtimes glitching out and fading away. It gave 60 seconds. Jay watched it, then his eyes immediately scanned around until he saw Symyst. Symyst returned his gaze and gave him a thumbs up. She wished him luck. Jay gave her a scared, shakey smile and she turned to face toward a crate. It had a bow on it. He laughed to himself, then turned and saw a crate with an axe. It was a double sided, one handed metal axe with serated edges. It could so some lethal damage, and it was fairly close to him. Next to lied a backpack and another coat. That was his goal. The count down beeped once. Twice. Three. Four. Only 6 more seconds. 3 2 1, let the games begin. Tributes leaped either away or toward the Cornucopia, snow splahed all over the place making tiny clouds in the air blocking vision. Jay leaped toward the crate with the axe. He landed knee deep in the snow and began to trudge along. The snow already began to bite at him, making his legs go numb and he shivered and continued truding. He used his hand to wade in the snow and push it out of the way. Jay neared the crate, he leaned over and placed his hand on the axe. His body untensed. A sound. A whizzing sound. And then he feels blood trickle down his forehead. An arrow. It fell into the snow, he turned and there was someone. It was the guy from district 6. He had black skin, his arms were gianormous and he was very muscular. He was wearing what Jay was wearing, but he was weilding a sword. He was awfully close. Jay turned his axe and swung it in a sideways arch, ripping open the guys jacket and cutting through his skin. Jay flinched when he saw the blood on his axe. The guy roared and thrust his sword forward. Jay fell backward, stumbling through the snow. The guy then swung for Jay's thigh. Jay turned his body and thrusted forward, his fist balled up and made contact with his pursuers face, feeling a crunch when he hit his nose. The guy flinched backward and cried out. Jay took this opportunity, he picked up his axe in his hand, sighing quickly, then swung it so it ripped his stomach through, cutting a giant slash in it. The axe ripped through his jacket, through the black fabric of his shirt, and Jay felt the skin of the man melt beneath his axe and he knew he hit him. The tribute wailed and fell backward, staining the snow with a scarlet color. The guy swung his leg upward to hit Jay. It didn't work, Jay brought his axe down onto the guys chest. He felt his axe go through, and the guys breath get cut off. Jay shut his eyes, withdrawing his axe. He put the green backpack on his back and began to trudge through, trying to run off into the taiga. Jay turned his eyes toward Symyst's direction. He saw that she was on the outskirts shooting at the girl from District 1, Rose Glimmer. Symyst's hair was pulled back in the wind. She looked so beautiful. Jay wanted to yell at her to run with him, but there could only be one winner... And that had to be him. For his family. For himself. [23 Tributes Remain - District 6 Male Tribute Has Fallen] |

Rose covered her eyes as she raised up into the snowy tyga arena. She looked around at the other tributes and then in front of her. About 20 feet in front of her was a backpack with knives tied all along it. She smiled and focused on that, trying not to already step off the podium. A voice rang in her ears, "10 seconds." She snickered and looked up, "5, 4, 3, 2, Let the Games Begin." Rose ran forward and threw the backpack around her shoulder, and she pulled two knives out. Her ear burned and she put her hand to it, it was bleeding. She turned to see the girl from District 9, Symyst. Rose quickly threw the knife with jagged edges into symyst's loading arm, Rose smiled as Symyst ran away and Rose sprinted to the cornucopia. She quickly looked for a jacket so she would stop shivering. As she approached a box a tall figure stood up and thrusted its sword towards Rose's head. She quickly ducked out of the way, and lunged forward, stabbing the person in the chest. She ripped the knife out, dropping it, she dragged the body out into the open so it could be picked up, she studied it and realized it was the boy from District 12. She cringed and went back. Tyler was waiting for her, by all the goods in the center of the cornucopia. She smiled as he handed her a jacket that actually fit her, and a few more knives. She sighed, "Did you kill anyone?" He smiled, "Yep! The girl from 11!" She laughed at his enthusiasm and walked past him to see the District 4 tributes, "I suggest Tyler talked to you?" She raised her eyebrow. The girl, Tiffany, laughed, and said ,"Yeah, I'm Tiffany, and this is Nick." Nick looked up from his axe that he had been admiring and grinned. Rose threw her backpack onto the ground and grabbed an apple, "So when do we hunt?" She asked biting into the apple. Tyler suggested, "Tonight?" People won't be situated..." Rose smiled, "Sounds good." Tiffany looked puzzled, "Who's staying here?" Nick looked down, "I will... But don't take long!" Tiffany frowned, "I'll stay too.. Can you too be trusted alone?" She winked at Rose and Tyler and everyone laughed, Tyler joked around and picked Rose up, kissing her. Tiffany laughed, "Ewww!!" Everybody laughed and Tyler said, "Yeah, we can go alone. People can't be THAT far away." Rose nodded and the allies joked around and talked, waiting for sunset. ~Sunset~ As the sun set, Tyler and Rose packed backpacks with a little bit of food and water, to last the night, "Hopefully we'll be back by morning." Rose said to Tiffany and Nick. They all hugged and District 4 wished luck to the pair, "Listen for the cannon!" Tyler exclaimed, as he and Rose walked towards the forest, waiting to see what lies in their path. |

(~ The Hunger Games ~) When Clara reached the arena everything was so bright that at first she couldn't see her surroundings. She forced her eyes to stay open and they adjusted to the light. It was a Tyga arena covered in snow. There were huge trees surrounding all of the tributes and she could see what looked like a bunny casually hopping around in the distance. The snow was deep, the bunny could barely hop around in it. She loved winter, much more that she did summer. It had always been her favorite season. She used to love all of the snow and the cold weather, but now she hated it. It would be hard to survive in this cold weather and also find food to keep up her energy. She shook her head and paid attention to what was going on. The cornucopia was full of weapons, food and clothes, but that was the center and she didn't plan on going there. On the outskirts of the cornucopia were crates lined up with each podium. The crate sitting in front of hers had a huge backpack and a spear next to it. She would go for that, she had been trained to use any kind of weapon, but she was disappointed there weren't knifes in her crate. She looked around at the other tributes and saw Peter. He was four tributes away from her and was already looking at her in a panick. She pointed at his crate, indicating that he should go for that first. He nodded and she looked at the time in the sky, there were 20 seconds left. She got into position to start running towards her crate and looked around at the other tributes. They were all doing the same. She hoped that they were all too consumed in their own tasks that they would avoid her when the time came. The timer startled herself out of her thoughts as the voice started to count it down from 10. As the seconds went down she thought to herself, "10, I can't do this, 9 I should just step off now, 8 I'm going to die, 7 You have to do this Clara you have to, 6 Just go straight for the crate, 5 Don't get distracted, 4 Oh my gosh they're at four already, 3 Okay get ready to run, 2 Go as fast as you can, 1 Run, 0." "Let the games begin." She bolted off of her podium and into the snow. The snow definitely slowed her down, but she was still going as fast as she could. She stomped through the snow straight for her crate and fumbled to grab the spear first and then the backpack. She swung it over her shoulder and looked up for a second seeing what the other tributes were doing. People were dying left and right and cannons were going on by the second. She turned around to get away from the blood bath, but didn't get away fast enough. Before she could start running for the forst someone grabbed her by the shoulder and threw her down onto the snow. The breath was knocked out of her and she looked up at her attacker with surprise. It was the girl tribute from district 8. She was well built and had definitely been trained a lot in fighting. She rose a knife above Clara's chest, "Any last words weakling?" she threatened into her ear. "Yeah. I'm sorry you thought I was a weakling." she responded. Before her attacker could respond Clara rolled out from under her and quickly got up, leaving her backpack on the ground to move faster. Her attacker charged at her with the knife, but Clara ducked and used her leg to swipe her foot from under her and she fell onto the snow. The rolls had been reversed, but instead of fitting in commentary Clara thrusted her spear straight into the girls chest and she went limp. She pulled her spear out of the now dead body and heard another cannon go off. Clara had grabbed the girls knife and slid it into her belt. She grabbed her backpack and looked back at the cornucopia. She didn't see Peter, and she had no clue where he had gone. The forest was the only place he could be, so she turned around and headed towards the forest. She stomped through the snow and finally hit the outskirts of the forest. She saw something move behind a tree not too far away. It was a person, she knew it. She could hear their heavy breathing and their muffled coughs. She walked towards the tree and looked behind it. It was a girl her age and looked like the one that was from district 10. She didn't have anything to defend herself with and she didn;t look like she was up for a fight. She looked at her with desperation in her eyes. Clara didn't want to kill her, but she also didn't want her to be alligned with her. She gave her one last look and then started off back into the woods. She couldn't kill someone that didn't try to kill her first, or that didn't even have a weapon. But she knew that the girl from district 10 would probably be on the slide show later that night of all the people that had died. She had no supplie she couldn't last one night out here. She shook her head and focused on trying to find Peter. (~ 20 tributes remain -- District 8 Female Tribute has Fallen ~) |

Multiple cannons went off in a small row. Then a little bit after another one struck, striking through the entire arena and shattering the thoughts of the tributes. The snow in the forest was not as high as the snow around the cornucopia, as the dark green pine trees shaded from some of the snowfall. The forest was dense, and there were light patches at some places where the snow was much much brighter. In an open field, snow blindness was sure to be a very big attack. Jay looked around. He was not that far from the Cornucopia, but just enough. His face had some snow on it. His hair had white speckles from the snow being kicked up and thrown around. He shivered continously. Jay laid down his backpack in the snow, glancing his green eyes around. He noticed a brave snow bunny leaping out of its hole and running for a better safety than under a snowberry bush, which shed its coat of snow when the bunny left it for a tiny cave in a smaller rock formation. Jay was mainly looking for any opposers try to kill him or even Symyst. She was not far away from him back at the cornucopia, so she wouldn't have been far now. Jay shook his head, sending white clouds all around his head and took his extra jacket. It was blue and thick. It would keep him a little more warm, but it was still so cold. His nose was bright red and he couldn't even feel it. Jay felt like his lips had become ice because of how pale they were becoming and how little he could feel with them. He swung it around the coat he already had on, bundling up. This would somewhat slow him down, but he shrugged his shoulders. Whatever kept him from getting frostbite easier was help to him. Jay looped his right arm through the backpack and shrugged it onto his shoulders. The backpack made a slight down-slope in the snow. His eyes spiraled around him again, looking at all the options he had to go. /Where would Symyst go.../ Jay thought to himself, his eyes becoming thoughtful and he looked toward where Symyst was according to the cornucopia. Jay would head this direction. He straightened his back, cringing at the sound of it cracking behind him. He lifted his legs high to move quicker through the shin high snow. His path was usually through tons of trees. His hand would skim some of them, ripping the bark off of them. If he got lost, he would know where he came from. He cut himself once or twice on the bark, but it was no biggy. Except, for the pure white snow became tainted as the crimson color flowed into it, coloring it with itself. After a while of walking, Jay came in front of a smaller mountain that he would have to climb. It was not big, just was in his way and going around it would just take him longer and give Symyst more time to continue moving further away. He eyed the formation. It was pretty steep, except he could see some smoother rocks that lead up and around it. The only thing he had to worry about was slipping off the snow. The rocks already looked sleek and wet, probably from the snow laid on them. Jay moved toward the rocks. He placed a foot on one of them, it had a rigid pattern which made his foot unbalanced. He reached up and grabbed his hands on one of the pointier rocks that jutted out, pulling his other leg up and sturdily placing it on the base rock. He carefully pressed his body against the skinny rock and moved along it, going upward along the rock. Sometimes the points of rocks in the side would snag his jacket and throw him around slightly, but he usually managed to regain his balance. He continued doing this. He stopped when he was half way through, looking down. He was about 10 feet off the ground. He pushed his back against the rock and sighed. His fear of heights would get the best of him here. He raised his hand, levling it to see if it was shaking. He was. He took a deep breath, shutting his eyes and attempting to untense his body. He opened his eyes, which were gleaming and no longer frightened. He moved along, placing his foot near the wall and the other at the tip of it -- His downfall. The snow gave way under his foot, wetting the bottom and the smooth rock made a squeak sound as his body was thrown unbalanced and he plummeted toward the snow below. He turned to the side, landing on his shoulder in the snow. He made a groan when he landed and turned in the snow, shivering and shaking as he lie in the snow. His eyes were shut and it looked almost like he were dead. If only his chest weren't moving though... A girl charged through the leaves of a tree, pushing past them which sent snow all over her. She was about 13, but very brave. She let out a weird battle cry that almost sounded like monkey noises. She clutched a scythe in her hand and was approaching Jay quickly. Luckily he opened his eyes and pressed his hands in the snow. His hands screamed as the snow engulfed them, making them numb. He turned his body over to push himself up but it was too late; the girl was on him. The girl was above him. She had a very small face. She had tan skin and some freckles dotted around her face. Her eyes were a very dark brown. She had short hair that was blonde and she made her battle cry again. She put her arm behind her back and swung down, the scythe coming straight for Jay's heart. Extinctively, he threw his left hand straight up to make contact with the blade of the scythe. Jay winced, his eyes stinging with water and his body flinching at the feeling of his skin parting under her blade. It worked though -- she hadn't hit him in the heart. She hadn't killed him. Jay looked into her eyes. They were filled with bravery and the urge to fight for her life -- for her family, Jay guessed. He had to survive too. He had to survive too. He told himself over and over again. He pushed his hand against the blade. Jay was much stronger than she was and managed to hit her scythe back. She did a battle cry. Jay interupted. He balled his right hand up into a fist and brought it into the jaw of the girls face. She let out a horrific cry and flung backward into the snow, where a slow stream of blood would flood out of her mouth and stain the snow. He turned to his side and used his right hand to push himself up, grunting at the aching of his back. He took the axe from the latch on his side and raised it above her. The girl lie on the ground, staring up at him. Clear lines streamed from her eyes. She closed them. Jay choked. He did not want to kill this young girl. He did not want to kill this young girl. The girl turned her head and reached for her scythe, the frail hands grasping it. She swung it to try and slice Jay. He turned backward, then left his arm swing down. He felt the axe hit something. A liquid hit his face. It was warm. Jay looked the other way, not looking at the girls dead body. He pulled his axe out of the teenage girls body and walked into the forest... His axe dripping blood as he walked. A cannon erupted... -Sunset.- Jay reached a stopping point behind a tangle of bushes. In front of him, in a smaller clearing were the tributes from District 2 together laughing and smiling at each other. He glared at the girl and the boy. That was the girl that Symyst was shooting at. He was hidden from their view behind a bush. He wanted to seperate them. Not kill. He didn't want to kill without a reason. Jay reached under a bush and took two rocks. He grasped them in the palm of his hands, making his knuckles go pink. He launched one at some bushes behind him, and the other leading the other way. Jay smiled as he saw them both seperate, going different ways. Tyler was coming toward him, going toward the rock he threw near him. Jay watched as he walked toward the noise... He would continue looking, was the plan. Then Jay could have some fun. [19 Tributes Remain - District 3 Female Has Fallen] |

Tyler and Rose continued walking into a clearing and then rustling happened between two bushes. Rose looked up to Tyler, and frowned, "It's ok lets split up." I'll walk quickly in this direction," He whispered and nodded towards the forest, "And you walk that way, really slow, and then turn around and come back towards me, we can get the other person later..." He grineed and Rose smiled at the way he thought. They hugged and seperated for the short amount of time after about 30 seconds, Rose turned back around and quietly jogged to where Tyler was walking. She crept into the forest, looking around her surroundings as she playfully jumped onto Tyler and hit his back with her free hand. He turned around with his sword and laughed, "Shh." He said pointing towards a bush, "I heard something over there when I walked over here.." Rose nodded and pulled out another knife to occupy her left hand. She looked behind them and saw a girl run past a tree. She tapped on Tylers shoulder as she jumped up out of the deep snow and began to sprint after the girl. Tyler looked back and hesitated before he chased after Rose. The girl was from District 7 and she kept running. Rose pursued her quickly, and when she got close, Rose threw a knife, while running. The knife spiraled through the air and entered the girl from District 7's back. She fell to the ground and Rose ran to her. The girl cried out loud, and Rose put her finger over her lips. she pressed a knife into the girl's chest and a cannon blew. Rose sighed and pulled it out, wiping the blood off onto the girl's jacket. Tyler walked up and pulled the backpack off of the limp girl and smiled to rose, "I think we should get back quick, I have a feeling 'someone' is following us." He whispered. Rose nodded and they stood up together. Rose pulled a knife out of her backpack so she'd have two. She walked, throwing her arm up, ready to throw, at any noise. Tyler often laughed and kept walking. They finally entered the clearing where the cornucopia is, and the sky projected with light. Tiffany greeted them with a smile as she looked up to the sky, but Rose didn't. Nick was gone. Rose's eyes went wide, "...Where's Nick..?" Tiffany looks up and smiles, "Oh he went to look for you guys..." [18 Tributes remain - District 7 Female has fallen] |

Clara had continued looking for Peter until sunset when she decided that she should find a place to settle for the night. A couple cannons went off through the day, each scaring her equally, at the thought that one of them could be Peter. After about ten minutes of searching she found a cave in the side of a small mountain. Deciding this was the best that she was going to get before the sun set, she walked over to the cave. Her eyes cautiously darted back and forth, making sure someone, or something, wasn't already in the cave. The moonlight was the only thing illiminating the small cave, making it hard for her to tell for sure if no one had already been inside, so she crunched her way through the snow and into the protection of the cave to get a closer look. There wasn't any light or any signs that someone had already been there, so she decided it was safe place to stay, for now. One of the apples that she had found in her backpack was the only thing that she had to eat that night. Hunting wasn't a very good idea, considering that it was dark outside and how much energy she had. She was exhausted from walking in the snow all day. It was a lot of work and her legs were aching for a break, she didn't know how she could get through the next day. She ate her apple and pondered on the thought for a while until she was finished. The cave was deeper than she had thought, it stretched out into a black abyss that she couldn't see past. The thought of venturing into the cave farther scared her, but she needed to go deeper for better protection. She couldn't sleep at the entrance of the cave, someone could easily come by and kill her in her sleep. A shudder pulsed through her body at the thought of being killed in her sleep, she didn't like that idea. When she attempted to get up to go further down the cave her legs ached in protest, but she pushed through, knowing that it was life or death. She had hugged the right side of the cave her whole way down so that she could get a feel for where she was. When her hand hit the back of the cave she gladly sat down and decided that a fire was a good idea. The branches that had fallen off the the trees near the cave were the only thing that she could find to make a fire, so she did her best to collect as many as she could. Using the skills that she had learned from the training they gave her, she used the sticks and formed them into a tepee, making sure that they were stable enough to stand on their own. She searched through her backpack, looking for a lighter, or something to help her start the fire. Finally she found a small lighter at the bottom of her bag, under the blanket, apples, and a few other things that she might need along the way. It took her a couple tries to finally get a fire going, and when she did it wasn't as big as she would have hoped for, but at least it was something. It gave a small illumination in the cave and she was finally able to see what the cave had inside. The walls of the cave were plain and the floor was dusty and hard. Overall it was boring to look at, but something in the very left corner of the cave caught her attention. A lump of .. something was sitting in the corner, it didn't seem to be moving so she ruled out the possibility of it being an animal. Reluctantly she moved closer to it and with each step she realized what it was. With her first few steps she realized it was a person, lifeless and motionless, dead on the floor of the cave. With her next few steps she realized that it was a boy, young, she could tell by how skinny and frail he was. And with her last steps she recognized the face and collasped to the ground, covering her mouth in shock. A single tear rolled down her face and she just sat there staring at him, unable to move. One of the cannons she had heard earlier was for him, he had died and she couldn't do anything to change it. It was Peter. (~ 17 Tributes Remain - District 2 Male has Fallen~) |

Tyler strided past him, then quickly went back over and met Rose in the center. A ray was shining down upon them, making their skin look much lighter. The snow was slowly melting, but the clouds overhead signified that it was going to snow soon. Snow tonight; which then would make it go below zero. Jay watched them, his green eyes narrowing into slits as he moved to the back. He could see them barely walking through the bushes, and he began to follow them. His boots made a soft crunching noise on the snow. Jay got side tracked when a bunny was dashing to a different spot. He would smile. They were trying to survive too, just like him. Animals and humans are not different at all. He continued walking, they were further ahead. Jay saw the knives dangling at her side. They were smooth and easy to through, but close up she would be very weak. Very, very weak. She didn't even seem strong physically either. She was small and skinny. Jay continued walking, keeping his eyes locked through the bushes. Occasionally he would move into an opening when they stopped and get a closer hear on what they were saying. Jay studied tyler, his head sometimes tilting. He was wielding a sword and he was muscular. Jay would have a problem if he faced him directly up front. If he could get him in the back though... Jay's eyes lit up. He had a plan. A big plan. Tyler and Rose entered the cornucopia clearing. Jay stayed further back, studying the denseness of the under growth they pushed through. The bushes were quite thick, so they wouldn't be able to see him. He entered the path they were walking, looking at the foot prints that were left in the snow. He looked up toward the sky. The snow was about to fall. He had to do this quick so he could escape into the storm. He picked up a rock. Not a pebble, but a decent sized rock that would make them run. The rock seemed heavier than it should be. It made a weird camera zooming in noise. Jay narrowed his eyes at it -- It was a capitol camera. He shook his head, leaning down to place it back on the ground. He then stopped, lifting himself back up. His wet hands held onto it tight and he began to move to a small gap in the deep undergrowth blocking this way from the cornucopia. He could slip out quickly here. He turned his body so he could throw the rock the other direction so they would turn. Then a person entered the clearing. He was very small. He looked about 12. He had brown hair and his eyes were light blue. He was carrying and axe and he looked at Jay with wide eyes. Jay stumbled backward slightly. The kid turned his body. Jay lurched forward to wave him to stop. The kid swung around and swung his axe meekly toward Jay. He didn't seem to yell. He probably knew they were there too. Jay glanced behind him, then turned to the boy and gave him a smile. "What's your name and district?" Jay whispered quietly, keeping a distance. The boy stared at him, his eyes wide. He bit his lip enough to where it bled. Leaving a small red place of snow. "Peter... District 2." The boy said. His voice was quiet and weak and had a little bit of stutter in it. Probably from the snow. Jay nodded. He turned and looked back at the careers through the undergrowth and heard quiet conversation. Jay turned back and moved closer to the boy, kneeling to the ground. "I need your help. I'm going to attack these careers. All I want you to do is go over there," Jay gestured to a bush on the other side. "make some noise, and then start running. Run and then hide." Jay looked at him in the eyes, expecting him to shake his head and run. Except, Peter, nodded and began to shake. Jay patted him on the back and watched as he began to move into position. It didn't take long. Jay dropped the rock on the ground. He looked over at Peter and nodded. Peter blinked once, then shuffled his feet and ran. The noise was tremendous. Which caused all 3 Careers to turn and look. The plan commenced. Jay pushed through the bushes, getting cut but some of the twigs and he ran. The snow slowed him down slightly though, but it also quiet his running footsteps. The career girl from 3 ran after him and Rose started to. Jay was behind Tyler. Lifting his axe, he angled it to the right then brought it down in a vertical arch. Jay brought it down right onto his head. Jay gagged as he felt the skull under his axe smash apart, and the red, warm liquid spraying all over his skin. The blood streamed down onto the snow and began to change the color surrounding red. Tylers body fell to the ground. A cannon erupted, ripping through Jay's mind. He quickly re entered the real world. Rose turned, clearly feeling the red liquid on her too, and she looked down at his body. Jay swung out and made contact with her face with his fist to try to make her unstabilize. Not looking, Jay took off running the direction that Peter went in. He moved quickly in the snow, the adrenaline kicking in. He did zig zag to avoid her throwing knives that would hit him. Once he entered the under growth, he took the more tangled path. If she was following, surely she would have gotten lost. After about 10 minutes of running, Jay stumbled into a cave. He walked down slowly and carefully. He was right, the storm had started and nearly blinded him. He entered shivering and began to walk deeper into the cave. She saw a women, standing over a body. A body of a boy. He got closer, making his footsteps silent. But his shivering was quite clear. Jay squinted and say familiar blue eyes... familiar hair. It was Peter. Jay blinked twice, tears stinging at his eyes. [15 Tributes Remain - District 1 Male and District 9 Female have Fallen {Died From Other Tributes}] |

The group stood in the center of the cornucopia, silent, as they waited for some small bit of action. Suddenly there was a rustling in the bush, Rose, Tyler, and Tiffany all turned their heads and got up, sludging through the snow. Rose heard something behind Tyler and she turned around, a boy had already hit him in the head with an axe. Blood splattered all over Rose and she screamed, she turned around as the boy ran away into the forest. She couldn't throw anything at him because he was hiding through the trees. "COWARD!" She screamed and ran to Tyler. She sobbed and hugged his limp body. She put her head on his chest and whispered, "I'm sorry, I'll win for you." A tear fell onto him, as the plane came overhead. She waved bye to him as his body was taken into the sky. She wiped her face off and placed a knife in the palm of her hand, grasping it as she turned around to see Tiffany walking back. She came and hugged Rose and said, "I found the kid from 2 in the direction of that noise... I chased after him and killed him." She spun her sword around and frowned, "I hate this." Ruby nodded at her and walked back to the Cornucopia. Later in the night, Nick returned while Rose was on watch. She bit her lip and half-smiled at him. She looked up at the stars as Nick set a blanket next to her. "Get some rest, I think you need it... I killed the boy from 9 by the way." Rose cringed, "I'm going to kill that boy that killed Tyler. That's all I want to do, I don't need to win. I want to kill him tomorrow." Nick nodded, "You'll need rest before that." He raised his eyebrow and grinned. Rose nodded and layed down on a crate from the cornucopia, with the blanket wrapped around her. She promised herself she was going to hunt the next day, as she drifted to sleep. ~Morning~ Tiffany shook Rose awake as the sun began to rise. Rose got up and said, "Who's going to hunt with me?" Tiffany laughed, "I think Nick would do a better job at protecting you.." Nick nodded and stood up, "lets go." He smiled and Rose sludged through the powdery snow towards where the boy ran. Nick and Rose quickly maneuvered through the forest and stumbled along a cave. "I bet this is where he is..." She whispered as she began to climb a tree, she waved for Nick to follow her up, as she perched on a branch, waiting for the boy... or someone to come out. Clara couldn't recall how long she had been sitting there next to Peter's dead body, too shocked to move. Thoughts kept running through her head like ~If I had just gotten here one minute earlier I could have helped him.~ and ~This is my fault, I didn't find him soon enough, I killed the poor kid.~ In reality she knew that none of these thoughts were true, but another part of her believed they were, which made it harder to accept the fact that Peter was dead, and she was alone. Being alone was one of her worst fears, she hated feeling that no one cared about her, she wanted someone to at least mourn her death if she had died, but now no one would. She was alone, in a cold dark cave, staring at the last person who had cared for her. Deep in thought, Clara didn't realize someone had entered the cave until he was walking towards her. When she twisted her head towards them all she could make out was a silhouette of a person, a guy, with a slim figure, carrying a weapon in his hand. Her heart started beating faster, almost so loud that she could hear it. She attempted to take deap breaths to calm herself, which didn't work the slightest bit. This could be the moment she dies, inside of a cave next to the lifeless Peter sitting in a lump in the corner. No one would care, no one would mourn for her, everyone would just see it as another person eliminated that they don't have to deal with. Or maybe they would see her as the District 2 coward that died in a cave next to her own partner. But she wasn't satified with those labels, she wanted to be known for something greater, and she wasn't ready to be forgotten, so she quickly grabbed the knives out of her belt and held one in each hand, preparing to fight for her life. "Don't come any closer if you know what's good for you. I'll kill you without mercy, make you suffer if I have to, but if you try to kill that would be a big mistake for you." she threatened as the figure started to get closer to her, meaning only part of what she had said, she was trying to scare him away, but it hadn't worked, he was still getting closer to her. He was probably stronger than she was, she didn't have much muscle, but she was faster than most people. That would hopefully give her a slight chance in this fight. She attempted to reassure herself that she could take this guy on, but honestly she wasn't sure if she could. (~ 13 Tributes Remain - District 10 Female Has Fallen ~) |

Jay saw the girl turn, a knife glinting in her hand. Her eyes seemed drained and full of emotion and anger for Peter. Jay shook his heard in the shadows, his feet carrying himself toward her. Jay was angry with himself. The kid was trying to help him and now he was dead. Dead because of him. His corpse, there, rotting and the blood spilling out of his fresh wounds. The girl from district 4 had killed her. Jay had a moment of realization and he fell to the ground. He didn't care about the pain that his knees felt when they crushed against the rock. His eyes stung and he felt like he couldn't breath. His mouth went dry as the thoughts of him being able to save Peter fluttered around. Jay shook his head, putting his hands to his temples and letting out a sigh of pain and regret. Jay lifted his head, dirt now smeared across his face and his green eyes are much darker, filled with a pained soul. His eyes stared at the girl, ready to kill him if he came any closer. She said words to him that he didn't focus on. He was busy staring at her, wondering if she would end his misery. End the suffering that is the Hunger Games. End the life that he so desired to fight for, but at what cost? The cost of using people to get further? The cost of blood on his hands? "I'm Jay from district 7. You know Peter?" He replied to the girl, his voice shaking and cracking mid sentence with guilt and pain. "Yes, he was from my district." She responded, her voice wavering mid sentence. Jay knew she was trying to stay strong. She continued to have her weapon up, and he shook his head. "I won't hurt you." Jay looks at her, his eyes soft. |
