i haven't played this game in 4 years, but im remaking this topic for somebody.

so i was kinda shocked that it closed... anybody know why???

i think it was because they were focusing on other games

i was actually crying when it closed
that was my all time favorite online game, next to tfm

because petpet park was nickelodeon centric and neopets is now owned by jumpstart

Petpet Park was scrapped, and Habitarium, as well.

Neopets was made and later owned by Nick, but Neopets was still an independent thing with a few cameos for Nick...

I was just blank for 2 minutes looking at the "the park has closed it's doors"
PPP was the best game. It was way more enjoyable than Neopets on my opinion.

Pretty much every Nickelodeon game that wasn't on their website has been either sold to another company or closed down :c

To be a bit more specific, Neopets was started by a couple college kids in 1999. It was then sold to Doug Dohring about 2003 or 2004? That's when ads on Neopets began (Neopets was originally ad-free). Doug, being a greedy son of a gun, sold it to Nickeloden. Nick was taking a loss on the site with the older players bailing and just quite frankly didn't give a shit about it outside of the money (inflation was god damned insane), and gave it to JumpStart.

I was like that when Pet Party closed, my parents said that i can't create facebook to play Pet Society so i found Pet Party and i fell in love and ;---;
