I feel like it would be a big, good change for the forums to add a new rule forcing suggestions to be as polls, or simply stop people from posting "/support" and "/no support" in threads.

I've been a long time believer that forums should be for discussions, and these posts add no discussion value or adds to the suggestion at all, they do nothing but spam the forums and make the threads more of a popularity contest to see how many people can spam these replies, rather than have a genuinely good suggestion. Besides, we all know that lots of supporters doesn't mean the suggestion will happen anyway.

If people still want to see and count how many people like their suggestion, they can feel free to create it as a poll which will count the votes for them rather than keeping a supporter list. Additionally some users like myself who refrain from posting "/support" will be more likely to vote on polls rather than spamming, leading to a more true representation of how many people like the suggestion.
