So it seems to me that out of all of the tribe types (fan tribes, pro tribes, regular tribes and clan tribes) that clan tribes take the most effort to make and maintain. sure, there is some clans that just make the name, advertise occasionally and then go, but the good clans are on forums 24/7, always checking the history logs and maintaining their clan. what do you think?

Your username sounds like a warrior cat name.

“Dawnflower.”

Anyways, I feel like there should be a lot less Clan tribes in transformice. I’ve made a topic about how many clan tribes there are, and I counted around 180+ Clans. :/

Lol my user is meant to be my main oc name :)

Yeah idk about it honestly. I left a comment on the post you made with the list. I personally went through old tribe posts and majority are dead. or dying,

True there are a ton of clans. I think that contributes to how hard they are to make and maintain. I imagine these days its pretty difficult to create an origanal, unique clan and keep it alive as well.

Every clan has a 'story of the clan' tab on their profile and almost all clans come from dead ones or are a revived clan ;-;

There are too many "clan" tribes. I mean like honestly this isn't Animal Jam.

Ive been through a lot of groups in which the main aim of the game is to rp wc, however if you're still a small tribe its hard to build up your rps if there's only a couple people on at a time. My suggestion is to organize certain dates and times when the tribe can come together as one and all rp together. This creates a more exciting rp and it makes people want to stay. Moreover, you can advertise these meets to your advantage.

There are bigger problems if we are talking about tribe names. Like way bigger ones.

Current amount of aj clans: like, 0
Current amount of aj WC roleplaying: unless it’s just random people in the moment that just wanted to meet up and play, none
So actually Transformice is way more efficient. Some people do it on Minecraft, too. But most people think Minecraft is “gay” so use Transformice :P

uhhhhhh, no. going to jump in here. animal jam has an entire WIKI dedicated to aj clans. it is much more active than here. there is a lot more effort put into those, too. more rp plots, more customs, etc. arguably animal jam is more efficient.

aaanyways, i don't see the problem with clans. the three main clans are sleetclan, oblivionclan, and flurryclan. one of them is only barely hanging on, and the other two are just settling into consistency. the others (distant valley, midnight shadows and petalclan) are still pretty small (at least, in comparison to others. distant is inactive, ms is still ~20-30 people i think? and petalclan is only a bit more than that).
that's 6 active tribes out of thousands. the only reason people count ~200 clans is because they're very, VERY easy to go inactive (and so is any tribe, really). and again, if you're counting inactive or disbanded tribes, you get 200 tribes out of what, 20,000?

as for the effort clans take, i never really saw how they can take more effort than a public tribe. the only difference is instead of "organizing plots" (very easy to do btw), you're doing modules or cheesefarming. you still engage people and try to keep them there, but instead of arguing as cats you're playing the game.

none of this means i wouldn't like to see new and unique clans, however. i loved the idea of distant valley, but they too fell into the loop that i expected. transformice is not a good way to host unique clans, at all. the thing with tribes is when you "join one," you're practically locked in. so people want to make it unique and fun, using roleplay plots to do what they want. and there is no better way to do that than having a blank slate. the most the big clans have as permanent prompts is "they're edgy" or "there's a lot of snow."
so, with this, comes the fall of "transformice clans." it is so much easier to do stuff like this on forums or apps like discord. you can jump from plot to plot, and if you dont like the idea of something, you can easily start another.

take what i say as you will, however
