Ares a dit :
I always wanted to apply, but this year I sort of changed my mind.
Not bringing hate at all, but I really would like to know what makes 'helpers' stand out from normal people. I've seen more 'normal' people helping on forums and in-game rather than people that were categorized as 'helpers'. They seem to not have anything different than normal people, so why are people supposed to put much effort and especially share personal information into an application that wouldn't change a thing if they'd get accepted or not? To simply be proud enough to go around and be able to say 'I'm an official helper'? The /help chat itself is also dead, and I see people mainly asking help on #help channel on Discord rather than in-game. (and getting helped from common people or Sentinels)
Helpful topics, once again, can be made from common people without the need of being in the team. So why should we apply?

Again, not bringing any hate, but I really want a fair answer to this that is enough to make me change my mind.

What is the purpose of the Helpers team?
• Answer questions regarding Atelier801 games and forums.
• Create guides in order to share information.
• Host events and contests.
• Assist the staff team by reducing the amount of questions they get as well as reporting issues that need to be resolved.
• Translate threads, tutorials, etc.

No words to answer what you just answere- *cough* quoted, so I'll just leave this here.

If someone gets an answer from the helpers team, they( that person) will be sure that.....this answer is correct.

Don't worry about your message sounding hateful, it is not - your questions are valid and I can see where you are coming from. To be straightforward: there isn't really any big difference between a non-helper and a helper. Any player, helper or not, is able to help in different ways by creating threads, answering questions, guiding players, etc. What makes them stand out is that they are in a team, a well-organized team of knowledgeable and trustworthy players that are willing to work as a team to help the players/the community in different ways. Keep in mind that the purpose of the team is not only helping, they have other purposes (listed in the FAQ tab). Anyone can make a group of players in the purpose of creating tutorials and contests and helping players, but what makes the helpers team different is that members have to prove to be trustworthy, mature, dedicated, knowledgeable and interested enough in helping in the team and the community, and therefore can be trusted to give credible information to players, and since those are the main criteria taken into consideration when accepting applicants, that could make players "trust" members more than a non-helper (I am not saying that all non-helpers are trusted less than members of the team, a lot of non-helpers help players and give accurate information).
We have been trying to improve ourselves to be able to do more for the community, to make the team more active (which is why we opened applications) and to help in more ways. Helpers have also been recently planning something nice (internationally) that you will hopefully get to see soon. The #help channel in game is not dead, it's not too active but it's not dead; I often see players from different communities using it to ask questions.
The Helpers are not superior to other players and there isn't a huge difference between what a helper can do and what a non-helper can do, and they are definitely not here just to say "I am a helper". Being a helper can give you more opportunities to help in different ways. I am not sure if this convinces you enough, but I tried my best to point out why helpers can be useful.
