Gotanyswag a dit : a. Estimate the diameter of the sinkhole each week. Use the equation for the circumference of a circle: C = 2πr (C is the circumference and r is the radius of the circle) Rearrange the equation to make r the subject, then substitute C into the equation, which will let you find what the value of r is. You'll then be able to find the diameter, which is double the radius. Do that for both weeks. --- b. How many times greater is the diameter of the sinkhole now compared to the previous week? I'm going to rewrite the question to show you how to do this without giving away the answer: "How many times greater is the circumference of the sinkhole now compared to the previous week?" This seems long, but if you're not sure how to do the question, you might find it useful. We know the new circumference and the old circumference, so we can rephrase the question: "how many times greater is 150.42m, compared to 75.36m?". We can rephrase it again to be "150.42m is {this many times} greater than 75.36m." See how it sounds more like an equation now? We can actually turn it into one: 150.42 = 75.36x (x is an unknown number - it's the one you want to find!) Rearrange the equation to make x the subject: x = 150.42/75.36 Then calculate x: x = 1.97 approximately (almost 2!) That sounds about right - 150.42 is approximately double 75.36 (in other words, it's approximately 2 times bigger than 75.36) Now just use the values for the diameter (which you should have calculated in the previous question) instead of the circumference. |

Deltarubee a dit : Did you never ask your parents for help in school? Or a friend? If you did then you have no right to talk. A lot of kids are coming here because its easier than asking their parents, for fear of scrutiny. These kids could just fail school instead, but they're coming here and getting help and the problems are being explained to them so they can try and solve it for the future, and you're bagging on them for it. Honestly chill. |

Rakunoshi a dit : It's wrong if you're counting in base 10/decimal system, which is what everyone counts in, but it's not wrong if you're counting in base 1/unary system. |

angle 1 and 2 are supplementary angle 2 is vertical to a 75 degree angle what are the measures of both angles? |
0 | ||
Mlplightmice a dit : Supplementary angles are equal to 180° when added
Vertically opposite angles are equal
Substitute the B value into the first equation (A + B = 180) and work out
A = 105°, B = 75° |

Haruhitastic a dit : I can get behind behind asking a friend/parent over time, but this is just being pushed a bit too much. Plus the fact of relying the credibility of a stranger doing it all. There also exists mother google for such things and yet I'm feeling people didnt attempted to do that option to have some insight or anything, which at that point becomes pathetic e:spelling Dernière modification le 1489754580000 |

these are just some questions in general: how do u find radius when given circumference? how do u find area when given circumference? how do u find radius when given area? |

Mlplightmice a dit : on mobile, so sloppy formatting but here's the equations to calculate circumference and area of a circle: circumference = 2 × (pi) × r area = (pi) × r^2 you need to rearrange the equations to find out the answers. you should've been taught how to do that by now since it's really basic algebra. here's your answers tho where c = circumference and a = area: 1. r = c ÷ (2 × (pi)) 2. a = (pi) × (c ÷ (2 × (pi)))^2 3. r = sqrt(a ÷ (pi)) |

Winterbabe2 a dit : AHH! A personal experience story!! I had one of these during my public speaking class and like you I struggled on figuring out something (in the end I didn't present because I didn't have one by the time I had to present). Here's a story that happened with me! When I was in middle school I was in chorus throughout all three years, 6/7/8th grade. It was May our final spring concert, my final concert, and I'm really short, 4'9 to be exact, so this meant I was always in the front row middle section. I had a close friend in my group, Elizabeth, who was also a member of band. It was 10 minutes before showtime and she came in looking pale and sweaty. I was really concerned and I asked her if she was feeling well she told me she hadn't been feeling well and hadn't eaten anything the whole day but said she would be fine. I was only like 13 so I didn't push it further. So we get on stage we perform and it's the very last song (i can't remember what it was), but she was on the top row (she was tall) and she had passed out from the heat of the lights and fell on everyone in front of her. When she fell everyone kind of moved out of the way, but since I was in the front row and couldn't see behind me she fell on me and I was just sort of like "omg what do i do" I held onto her as best as I could (everyone else was just staring and the conductor was just like in shock) and she was heavy (i wasn't strong) her mouth was bleeding (she had braces so it had cut her) and I set her down gently since I couldn't hold onto her any longer. So everyone was in shock, no one was singing, no one was moving and then I was like "help..." and then it was like everyone snapped out of it and like 5 people rushed to pick her up. Eventually some guy (i dont know who it was) picked her up and took her off stage. I remember everyone going back to singing like nothing happened and it was super weird. yeah that's my story! I need opinions whether you agree or disagree with this following sentence. Failure is beneficial for an individual. Examples can be base on your experiences or just logic. Dernière modification le 1492789980000 |

Moinooblol a dit : I agree because without failure an individual will never grow as a person, will never change their habits/behaviors, failure is essential for human adaptation. You can use this logic like when humans were developing. There were some things that caused early humans to fail and from this failure they changed which resulting in growth and increased survival. |
