wow i just tried this and im rusty af. back when i was obsessed w/ this game around november of last year, i was actually a speedrunner. my genocide time was just over an hour, and I could do sans first go most of the time.
it was either sans or undyne that screwed my time always.

I just have something to say about each of the main "runs". I watched gameplay of the genocide and pacifist run and this is what I think about each run. The Genocide run is actually easier in my opinion, because in Pacifist run your have to do 2 very major battles: the battle against Flowey's maniac machine thing (After Flowey kills Asgore in pacifist) and the battle against "godlike" Asriel Dreemurr, which is the last Pacifist battle. And I've seen people dying to Sans but still go on in Genocide. But some people choose Pacifist mainly for a much happier ending.

Nah. You haven't actually played pacifist or genocide - you can't judge just from watching gameplay. Omega Flowey and God of Hyperdeath (Asriel) have much much easier battles than even Undyne the undying, nevermind Sans. Genocide is a much more difficult route.

Sans is the hardest thing you'll ever face in this game. Even Asriel is so much easier. When you lose to Asriel, you start right where you were in the fight. It's basically impossible to lose. The fight with Omega Flowey is also RNG generated, and is programmed to get easier every time you lose.
Undyne the Undying is a huge step-up from normal Undyne. Her attacks are sped up, she has new circular arrows, and just like her name, she won't give up without a fight. Sans took me WEEKS to beat the first time, considering I used to be horrible at bullet hell games. I have HOURS of recorded footage of me just continually losing to Sans. Look here for some of it.

The only things that ever gave me any trouble in pacifist were Mettaton EX, Asgore, and that stupid lemon amalgamate thing.

ah yes and this is prob my biggest achievement (spoils for genocide)
