Moinooblol a dit : generally, yes. "when one door closes, another one opens" - failure can cut you off from opportunity but it can also provide you with another completely different opportunity (or perspective). though ultimately it's up to the individual to decide whether or not they treat the failure as a learning experience. i suppose if you wanted to get into the semantics, you could argue that it depends what "failure" is considered to be. there's a big difference between "failing" to beat a boss in a video game and "failing" to resist murdereous/violent urges. it also depends on whether or not the individual treats the incident as a failure - failing to hand homework in on time could be considered a "failure" by others, but not by the individual. |

This isn't really for homework, I just want to stop being ignorant I was never properly taught geography, and if I ever was I think younger me didn't pay any attention at all. Are there any good sources out there so I can start learning? It's my greatest academic weakness atm next to math |

Griffincraft a dit : Depends what kind of geography. My idea of geography is learning all about maps and countries (their facts like population, languages, flags, capital etc), which I love to pieces. But it seems in higher education, geography is all about stuff like soil erosion, rivers, the hydrological cycle, weather and stuff I find boring beyond belief. Anyway anyway anyway, look up BBC Bitesize Geography. The GCSE section (that's the highest level) is complete, the KS3 section is near-complete, while the KS1 and 2 (for 5-11 year-olds) sections are rather lame but it's being updated at a good pace |
