google+ must really be successful if they have to force people to use it

I think YouTubers themselves were even more frustrated about this spam besides YouTube users because they cannot read the comments from their fans over the "Bob hates _____" spam.

Also... don't they have bigger problems to focus on? I'm not asking what are probably 9 year olds to think about death and all that stuff, but if they could just stop being shallow jerks and allow YouTube comments to... uh, mean something or be relevant, that would be great.

Yes, they do. I've spotted a few of them in the wild. Granted, these are on more hidden videos, but not all of YouTube is dominated by children, surprisingly.

But seriously, I remember when intsead of the thumbs up and down, there was stars, and you rated it that way.

Comment voting should never have been implemented. People would just comment normally instead of doing something stupid to get a top comment

Also, changes in any layout always bother me, but I tend to move on. I do have to admit that it's bothering that they'd link your names to your accounts. I personally prefer staying anonymous.
