Age problems?

Tfm clearly said that this is a 13+ game, but if your under that you must have permission from your parents.

They know its a 13+ game. They should've expect all of this from this game.

Yeah 13+ game is the most 2015 Fishing event is made of Fantasy Violence or the kids with break their parent's rules and they must go to Collage first before the game age limt

Honestly, I didn't realize this game was (recommended) 13+ when I first joined. But I know now. But kids are likely to dive straight into the game, regardless of their age. I think that when signing up, it should be made clear that Transformice is (recommended) 13+ and younger kids should have their parent or guardian aware that they are playing a 13+ game, and a warning about how some swearing is allowed. But in some rooms, the language isn't too bad. Some rooms have swearing constantly while others are more calm, I've noticed. When a room I'm in suddenly has mice arguing and cursing nonstop, I just switch rooms and the problem's usually solved. But still, in general, there's swearing. I think kids younger than 13 should be fine as long as they're aware of swearing in the game and can tolerate it.

I think they should require everyone to put in their age when they sign up for a Transformice account (since it's a 13+ game) and not allow them to play or to change it if they are too young.
Also, I think that if the kids are under a certain age, they shouldn't be able to chat or even see the chat since usually all the chat is full of is swearing from 14 year olds and other kids going "stop swearing I'm only 8."
Transformice should make it more clear that to play this game you must be 13 years old or older because there is foul language and such in the game.
One last thing, there is A LOT of nasty stuff going on in the game recently. I have reported a bunch of stuff as 'other' and commented with child pornography because of the stuff happening in the game. It's getting ridiculous and out of control and no matter how much I and other people report, the same people are still there doing it.

How do you guys feel about this stuff that's going on?

BUMP I think 10 year olds should play. I know u gonna disagree but its the best age! 10 is a age that is not a kid anymore, is a preteen and does not curse. I also think that 18 is not a age because mostly teens and older curse. (unless for adults) I'm just saying..

plus, you're a kid until you reach age 18. so yes, 10 year olds are still kids.
also, I'm pretty sure preteens are 12.

Parental permission? Ain't nobody got time for that!! I'm 13 now, but I've been playing this game since I was like 9. Age doesn't define maturity, but if there's some annoying kid, sure, kick his ass, you have my permission

and everyone knows how to fake their age and click the check mark that "verifies" they're 13 or older

There's COPPA (which means players under 13 would have to fill out a form with their parents to verify they were that age and they had permission - they'd also have to make a phone call to atelier to prove it.) but
a - i think COPPA is an american thing
b - people can still lie
c- it's a lot of work, and you'd have to keep each COPPA form on file

I am 11 and joined TFM when I was I think 8, (2013) and I didn't ask my mother. Like others, I just dived in. I was used to the swearing from the 5th graders on the school bus haha :s

i really dont think age matters as someone whos 10 and under are always gonna get onto games that are not for their age range no matter what you do. as long as youre able to tolerate what is the "norm" for this game (cursing etc.) i dont see any problem with it.

i still don't see age problems as long as they're mature.
