In general I avoid fandoms altogether, I'm not really into shipping and all of my experiences with fandom led me to be whacked in the face with that constantly.

This is pretty much the biggest reason as to why I don't get too into the fandom hype. If somebody wants to ship a couple characters then that's fine, but it's just not something I'm into. I love Harry Potter, but I can't do as much as look at fan art without seeing "DRACO X HARRY, HERMIONE X SNAPE, DRACO X OC", ect. Again, I have nothing against that if that's how a person wants to spend their time, but it's just not for me. It personally exhausts me to see shipping posts [almost] everywhere.

That being said, I don't hate any fandoms as a whole. I think each fandom has its portion of "crazy" people (although some fandoms arguably have it worse). I'm tired of seeing people assume another individual is annoying just because they like a certain thing and/or belong to a particular fandom, and I'm tired of people judging others because of that. Every fandom/tv show/movie/video game/ect. has "negative" characteristics depending on how you look at it.

I don't know where I'm going with this. Basically, I don't hate any fandoms, but I dislike the actions some fans (from any fandom) take.
Edit: I also enjoy checking up on fandoms occasionally because I enjoy reading the input of others, but I like to avoid the heavy shipping.
