this may be a little vague since i watched it like some 5 years ago or something to it (was my first anime surprisingly as well) but i guess ill try to give my take on it of what i remember back from those times

art is as is for its time being, nothing too spectacular. nothing much to add on here

as it goes for music the OP quite very well stays in my head after those years (at least the beginning part of it) and the transitions as well, but the music was OK in general and somewhat relaxing just to listen to it

harder to describe the plot and characters, only the two main characters stays best in my head. plot id say was pretty enjoyable and interesting to follow up

its hard for me to tell now on what i think of the anime as i havent given it a rewatch, but back at the time i watched it when i was just getting into anime and for me it was pretty good and not too excellent either, but i think its safe to say you should give it a try and see for yourself. if id had to put it i think its sort of an slice of life classic.
