there's nothing unfair about this. The only way this could possibly be unfair is that if when you signed up for the game it would generate you a random name (akin to xbox live) and then give you one free name change.

but YOU pick YOUR name and it's up to YOU to make sure YOU pick one YOU will continue to enjoy. If you pick "1dloveforever!" then 3 weeks later hate 1d that's your own short sightedness/spontinuity to blame. It's not A801s fault you don't enjoy your name, and it's not A801s duty to ensure you can have a name you enjoy if you messed up your first choice.

I know people will come back at me and be all "but squirrel, the name i wanted was taken, i wanted princesscelestia but it was taken and now i'm stuck with princesscelestia134252532. that wasn't my fault!" But it was. IT's no-one elses fault apart from yours if you can't think up a name original enough for it to not have random numbers in it. numbers were only recently added to TFM and people still got on fine without them before! All of my friends who i've convinced to play some mousegame with me have signed up in a few minutes with an original name that they enjoyed. I don't see why this is such a hard thing for so many people.. and what baffles me even more is when they blame 801 for it by saying they are unfair for charging for name change!

of course a name change feature will be fraise only. There's no need from a business or mechanical/code standpoint to allow your users to change their name, the only reason is for profit. So why would they give it for free?

You were given a free chance to pick a decent name. If you can't do that first time it's perfectly fair for you to pay for your next attempt.

I hope this comes soon. I've been called a weeb sham too much. I made this name when I enjoyed tokyo ghoul, but I don't anymore and it's cringy ughhhh

Actually, they said they would have it out by the end of 2015 but it never happened

The staff is testing out the underscores & name change update, so the update is probably coming pretty soon

something that i know that not many others know is that you can only change ur username every 3 months

so abusing it won't be a problem
