not really into sonic but i have a gamecube sonic game where you play chaos, i liked that.

I got through most of the game before my PS2 died, though the only thing I absolutely loved about that game were the graphics. they were p great if you ask me.

And I respect your opinion. Sonic being a show-off is part of his personality, but it's okay if you don't like that trait. honestly at one point in time I did feel like I've been loving the series less for some reason, though regardless that doesn't stop me from being so obsessed.
The storylines, though... for some reason I don't have any opinion on them until people say something about them. I've honestly heard from many people, for example, that Sonic Generations' (which is my favorite sonic game so far tbh) storyline wasn't that great, though I do respect that as well, because I can see why people would think that.

but he failed and used a meteorite that appeared out of nowhere and destroyed a zone, it uses a gameplay like sonic unleashed [normal sonic] one, but with sprites

Yeah, true, but judging from Tails' description of the Phantom Ruby, the entire story of Mania could have been just an illusion.
