They issued an apology, and they're cancelling their initiative and they cancelled their trademark claims. However, they sure didn't write that apology and it still seems insincere to me and my sociology classmates. I think they had to stop and do something because they were losing thousands of subscribers and getting dislikes on their videos. It seems like they're afraid.

I dug into it some more, and FBE's actions in the past are very questionable. One thing that stands out to me is that apparently, they censor their comment section by deleting most negative comments, especially in the past couple days. So, they're silencing people? If I find the reputable source I'll link it.

Something so vague like "react to" getting copyrighted is something to make a fuss about, since it would lead to other big corporations to copyright other ideas they think they own (like Sony tried to do with let's plays), and would eventually affect content creators you actually enjoy on youtube.

One thing that we do know is that the internet remembers everything, and they're probably not going to be let off the hook that easily. The channel will have to gain their viewers' trust back. 300,000 viewers lost is still a huge blow to them, it's going to take time to recover from that fall.
