i married abigail. i was stuck between her, leah and hayley for a while, but i was finally just like, heck it, she eats rocks! plus i really wanted someone to fix my fences
she's pretty much useless on my farm (besides fixing fences), but she likes cats and video games, and occasionally gives me bombs and the wings she ripped off dead bats, so all is good.

my farm looked pretty garbage before too haha. it's definitely easier to manage late-game though. good luck!

never played harvest moon, found it boring
its basically harvest moon tho except you can be one of those gays and has a mysterious plot to it

If you have 2 hearts you should go to the beach in the summer between 8:30 AM and 12:00 PM, it will play a cut scene! Just figure out what he likes, you can use the stardew wiki for this if you want, and gift him as many times as possible. Also talk to him daily and answer nice on his questions. If it's a persons birthday and you give them a gift they love, it will give you about 3 hearts.
I don't really like Alex yet managed to get 3 hearts with him without trying. Alex has a lot of things he likes, most of which you can buy at the saloon cheapily. Like beer.
Don't forget the cutscenes too! After every 2 hearts there is a new one, (with the singles atleast) and it gives you more information about the character. Plus romantic and sweet moments with your dream spouse ♡ (check the stardew valley wiki for the time for cutscenes etc.)

I stalked sebastian so much i wasted about 2 weeks just staying outside his house until he got out and shoving quartz into him because in early game i had nothing that he really liked. Best husband
