you want to prevent us from breaking records on cafe ;_;

in my humble opinion it's not a good idea >.< actually breaking records helps people in making new friends, I mean for example connecting with people from other servers and teaching them languages they'd like to learn ^_*\

You can now report posts which you deem harmful. These reports will show up to a few active mice who can decide whether or not these posts are indeed harmful. If the majority of people vote to remove a post, it will get deleted.

Mods will be able to see all the reports on the Café and their vote goes over all other votes.

When a player receives a ban, all of their messages will be deleted from the café.

Café topics that don't receive a response in 48 hours will be automatically deleted.
We have seen that the new report system isn't working as good as we intended it, and we are brainstorming to come up with a better solution. We would like to state that we are against the removal of the in game messaging platform as there are players who use it daily and communicate with each other there and we would not want to take that away from them. If you have any ideas regarding the café, please tell them!

I'm not sure if you wanted us to post here on this topic. I was expecting the Cafe update to be more in the hands of mods, and definitely not the players. As most will abuse this power, as you have seen, I'm sure. With the 30 minute cool down on cafe topics, people go on rampages where they report every post, and scheme with their friends to send have reports be sent around to shut down all the topics. The whole system should be nixed imo, and a new plan.

I think the ultimate solution is to have one of your mods simply go around and moderate the Cafe forums.. or the one's that are problematic. For example Eng 2 is a very dramatic Cafe. People get away with breaking the rules all the time, and mods are busy doing other stuff.

Another solution, would be simple things, modifications.. like filtering out certain words that are offensive. Not allowing people to post links in any form, this would then get rid of pasting a link into your browser that turns out to be something you wish you hadn't saw. A much needed option to add images into your posts, so that way people will know what they're seeing before seeing it. Keeping it within a size limit so it doesn't lag the forum. Allowing posts to stay up longer, or be archived somewhere so when a mod does get a report from someone, he/she doesn't just see one side of the conversation, because the rest was deleted.
