| Emotional trauma can be worse, as in that something simple can trigger a reaction and cause you to think about something that happend in the past (PTSD for example), and (depending on the person) will often result into a downwards spiral of emotion due to overthinking, self-loathing or even anxiety. Physical trauma is something you can laugh about once healed (unless it's a permanent condition, such as losing a limb or permanent backproblems, then both physical and psychological damage are present) and will stimulate the production of endorphins and adrenaline, provoking positive feelings and energy. Psychological problems can cause physical pain and inconvenience, for example headaches, nauciousness or even throwing up from emotional stress. My conclusion? Psychological is the worst, since treatment depends on the person and can even be contagious if brought into contact with people who are emotional. The instability and how often this can occur also depends on wether the individual is autistic, has social anxiety or is very insecure about themselves, where negative emotions can be even more volatile, if not downright dangerous to both them and their surroundings. But this can also be used to your advantage; if the person you speak to has a history of good memories about you, or you manage to make them think about you in small things on a daily basis, they will be more in control of themselves due to the fact they think about good things as well. Say for example a friend of yours makes a shitty joke about a fire extinguisher, you probably will laugh out of pity. BUT say you have a bad day and spot an extinguisher, making you think of said joke and friend, your thoughts will wander off to your friend and the more good things in life. Thoughts are both a virus, and a cure. Keep this in mind people. Dernière modification le 1567432260000 |

| Emotional pain is worse in my opinion - at least it sure can be. Here's a short story of what I did a few months ago. I'll try to keep it brief and not too in-depth since I believe it'll be inappropriate. I'm a person who strongly values freedom over a lot of things and when I can't get that freedom I deserve, it's difficult to see what the point of living is anymore. Why am I being controlled? Why am I being prevented from what I want to do? And no, it's not something ridiculous like refusing to vaccinate because I'm an anti-vaxxer, no! I trust science more than beliefs, because there's evidence. Anyways, one of the worst things for me is feeling like I'm in jail even though I'm supposed to be free. Everyone has the right to their own preferences in how to do things, so when you're forced to stop, really, ask yourself what is the point of living? It wasn't something bad either - if anything it's bad for myself but I'm not affecting anyone else. The next thing you know, I did something terrible to myself because there was nothing I could do to unleash the pain. I would have never ever thought of doing what I did because if it weren't for the emotional pain which outweighed the physical pain, I would still have thought the latter would be more painful. Whenever I'm reminded of what I did (which is everyday because I still see the 'remnants'), I get scared of myself. There's also been that one time I felt so angry I wanted to stab myself with the butcher knife in the kitchen. Emotional pain is dangerous and if you don't find the right solution in terms of how to release the pain, you might act on those impulses and you won't be able to go back. The thing is, if it hurts you so much you are willing to hurt yourself, it's likely a problem that is extremely difficult to recover from. |
