After spending much time talking to friends and deliberating with some who actually care about the future of this game. We came up with a great solution that would not only take a major load off of the mods/staff shoulders, but also clean up the Cafe, because it would be consistent.

That would be as follows: an automatic banning system. I play another game that does this in chat. When you say a bad word, simple, it triggers the banning system, and you get a notification that you've been muted. The time increases, but it's usually a minimum of 48 hours, but again, it increases with time. I would say in the case of TFM, the bans/mutes would be up to Melle/Tig and other staff who deal with this. Not only for Cafe, but perhaps for chat rooms in general, this way nobody goes unpunished. I won't use the words on here, but stuff like racial slurs, sexual innuendos, the word P#DO should be banned in any form from anywhere on the site.. it's extremely demeaning, and has no use. Nobody should be accused of such, just like nobody deserves to be called an N word or other racial slurs. The problem would be cursing.. We all curse from time to time, but those who use it in excess should be reprehended for it. Or maybe detecting lines like "F*** you", and such. I'm sure the mods have seen it all, and could easily come up with a fair list of words/terms and context of words that are ban or mute worthy.

I think in the end, this will help out the overworked mods, take a load off their backs, and people would eventually be forced to clean up the way they speak to others. I think TFM has already made Cafe a privilege, by making it so you need 1000 cheese and something like 40 hours of play to use it, and I think that alone was a big step in the right direction, to get people who make accounts just to harass people out of there. I think initiating an auto ban system, that is always on and detects trigger words/terms/phrases would help out a lot. I hope this does not get overlooked, and taken into consideration.
