I chose Totodile, and tbh I think that's the only reason I was able to take down the elite with barely any Pokemon in the 50s. With my feraligatr's moveset of hydro cannon, surf, ice beam, and blizzard, backed up with Raikou who knows thunder, and a Growlithe who knows Flare Blitz, Lance was easy to take down.
The rest of my team to deal with the elite was Umbreon (dark pulse, psychic, shadow ball, faint attack), raikou (reflect, roar, thunder, discharge), growlithe (overheat, flare blitz, strength, and somethin i cant remember), pidgeot (fly, twister, wing attack, ?? forgot lmfao), and dragonair (draco meteor, dragon rush, waterfall, and aqua tail)

Spoiler I BEAT DARKRAI FINALLY, AFTER HAVING THE GAME FOR 2 YEARS AND TRYING TO BEAT HIM FOR 6 MONTHS i used butter's method of hoarding reviver seeds, but i also brought along a ton of stun seeds, used one on all the pokemon, then attacked them all individually, saving darkrai for last. in the end, i think only 2 reviver seeds were used

Bulbasaur is terrible, especially with the competition it faces from the other two Kanto starters, who are both awesome. At least Chikorita is really good in PSMD because it gets like Reflect and shit.

Bulbasaur is boss, fuck overrated Squirtle & Charmander. And it's mega and access to Chlorophyll make it an amazing asset to a team, with it's ability to outlive both charizard and blastoise.

Blastoise has no reliable recovery and is damaged by every form of entry hazzard
Charizard gets crippled by stealth rocks.

Venusaur's immunity to Toxic Spikes (and when you switch it in, the spikes disappear, hallelujah!) Venusaur with the sun up and it's HA outspeeds and outclasses both Kanto Starters. Idgaf what anyone says beyond this, Venusaur is boss!

And guess what got me pissed?
I got a female!
