you might need to rename the two files in the conf folder if you dont use a japanese locale by default
if you get a shimeji on dA, the shimejis usually come with guide to make them work

rename the conf files you didnt already, if they're already renamed, then open the shimeji
if that doesnt work, i get a working shimeji's file, copy it, and replace the image files with the shimeji thats broken
