Wit Studio did an amazing job with this. The only thing that really bugged me was when they [ SPOILER READ BACKWARDS OR IGNORE ] delaever eht llaw snatit [ / SPOILER READ BACKWARDS OR IGNORE ] after the last episode's ending credits. It was a huge revelation and I hope they revisit it when they renew the series.

SnK OP 1 is awesome (OP 2 was good but wasn't on the same level.. then again, it's pretty hard to outdo an opening as good as the first)

I was already reading the manga beforehand and I only watched the anime because of 3D MANEUVER GEAR SCENES!! There's now denying how great those scenes are!

It's better to watch the anime than read the manga. Since it's filled with all action bits. You kind of need to see action rather than see pictures of it.

Not saying manga is bad, just that it is overall better to watch.

personally, i think it's better to read the manga, since there are a lot of details which are missed out or skimmed over. the anime also changed some of the scenes, such as replacing a character with another character. //coughs mikasa cough//

i won't disagree with you about the action scenes though, the animation in the anime is A+
i'd say the manga is much better at portraying character and plot, while the anime is better with action or battle scenes
