Xlll a dit : The map you're referring to is actually an altered bootcamp map that already plays in the p9 rotation. We have more than 20 unique halloween maps that offer a variety of gameplay. Some maps are easier, some maps are more challenging. Some are based on existing maps, some are entirely new. Altogether we believe we have made a good collection of maps that offers a little bit of everything. However, we are always open to suggestions for map idea's because we know there are plenty of map makers out there who know what they're doing. If you have idea's for a good event map, send a forum PM to this account or contact any of the full Mapcrew around here with your idea and we will see what we can do. |

Mapcrew a dit : "The map you're referring to..."? That's weird because I'm pretty sure I have 3 examples in my post. I wasn't referring to any one map in particular. I was referring to maps that have certain gameplay elements that you don't normally see outside of racing (or bootcamp, since you want to bring that up). There are many players who do not play Racing. There are even more players who do not play Bootcamp. I have seen even veteran players fucking up these types of event maps pretty consistently. I think you have completely missed the point of my post. My feedback/suggestion is not a map. It's that you should not be including gameplay elements that you do not normally see outside of these game modes, and that if you do include them you should be restricting them to said game modes only. Also, since you brought up P9, that's one of the map categories that shouldn't exist because it has so many very bad maps in it. Dernière modification le 1574692320000 |

Xlll a dit : There seems to be a misconception on your part in regards to what kind of maps play in regular rooms. Two of the three maps you mention are based on a P9 map and a vanilla map. The third map would absolutely never be considered for racing or bootcamp because it doesn't fit these categories at all (P7 or P9 seems more likely). I don't really know what kind of gameplay elements you're referring to, because things like walljumping and cornerjumping are pretty universal and are certainly not restricted to a specific game mode. |

Mapcrew a dit : Once again you are completely missing the point. "that you don't normally see" I added some more extra emphasis for you. Hope that helps. There are exactly zero vanilla maps that require cornerjumping to complete. If you are talking about map 71 and saying that they are even comparable in any way other than "they have ice pillars" then I am not going to take any of your replies seriously anymore. Furthermore I said "If I wanted to play racing style maps...". Many P7 maps are racing style maps however not all of them are. It is much easier to find those types of maps by going to the game mode that is specifically dedicated to them. If I wanted to play those types of maps I would go to the racing gamemode, not to the normal rooms and wait around for a P7 map to show up. This should be common sense. A bit of a side note but I don't personally recall seeing any P7 maps that 100% require cornerjumping to complete. Walljumping is definitely universal, I'll agree with you on that. However I disagree that cornerjumping is universal. Turn-arounds (which are present in my first example) are not universal either. Those skills are generally not seen outside of racing or bootcamp. While knowing those last 2 skills may or may not be helpful in normal and vanilla rooms they are be no means necessary by any means of the word. Edit: PS. https://atelier801.com/topic?f=6&t=48021 a dit : I don't know about you, but generally I see cornerjumping as being much more difficult than walljumping. If "walljumping should be kept to a minimum" then what, exactly, should you be doing with a more difficult skill? Oh, right... being even more restrictive with it's use. After all "maps should be generally completable by mice of various skill" right? Dernière modification le 1574736240000 |

We have created some more difficult event maps to offer a challenge to players. It is clear that you don't appreciate them. That is fine. There is no need to dissect the rotation rules because these maps are not rotation maps, they are special event maps that are different from your regular gameplay. We thank you for your feedback and will take it into account in any future event. Dernière modification le 1574763840000 |

Mapcrew a dit : It's not about whether I appreciate them or not. I just believe that during an event these types of events maps should not exist in this manner. Events should be accessible to players of all skill levels. Due to the difficulty of certain maps the majority of players cannot complete them. As I said earlier I have seen veteran players failing them pretty consistently (the last 2 examples I posted are the absolute worst because if you screw up you're dead; no do-overs). Due to the randomness of the map selection you can easily get multiple difficult or outright annoying maps in a row which does nothing more than frustrate players. If you wanted to create a challenge for players without screwing over less skilled players then have larger maps with multiple paths. Easy and longer less rewarding path and a harder and faster more rewarding path. Maybe even a middle path if there is too much a disparity between easy and hard. You would probably need to work with meli/tig to find some way of making the harder path more rewarding that the easy path (all paths have 3 event items, but maybe less cheese for easier paths? easy path has only 2 candy stacks, hard has 3? Hard path gives random consuables? maybe you could event use defilante-esque points to somehow determine rewards? idk I'm sure there are plenty of things you could do). Mapcrew a dit : Backpedal harder. I'm not buying this. I only brought up your map category rules because you were the one dragging map categories in to it and saying crap like "there seems to be a misconception on your part in regards to what kind of maps play in regular rooms" and how those skills were "universal" so you shouldn't be too terribly surprised when someone turns around and rips apart an argument that you brought up. Xlll, none of your points are valid enough for the mapcrew to even answer back to you lmfao, I don’t know why they’re bothering to reply back to some stupid so called “feedback”. Just because you can’t complete a map or two you decide to generalise your playing field/level to every other player in the game. Get a grip. All this sarcasm and emphasising bs is boring. All the examples you gave are stupid as well, a simple wall jump and one corner jump is making you rage so hard, chill out little bud. The only game mode I can assume you must be playing is survivor since that’s the ONLY game mode which doesn’t require you to corner jump or wall jump (since you believe that). Even to play survivor, you need have a basic understanding of the game, such as wall jumping and corner jumping. Survivor may seem all simple but uses your knowledge of the game to know how to play it so in that case to play any game mode you need to know basics of the game. Basics meaning wall jumping and corner jumping. Of course not TAs but none of the event maps require you to do TAs to complete the map. So stop whining or if you supposedly can do a better job, I would want to see you join the mapcrew, I’m sure the applications are open. Sucks to see how ungrateful some people are, mapcrew did an excellent job and I’m looking for more events held by them. Thanks a lot mapcrew! |

Yumyum a dit : My original post wasn't even for them at all, so whether they replied to or not is completely irrelevant. Yumyum a dit : I can complete the levels perfectly fine, but thanks for trying. Yumyum a dit : Clearly you are incapable of reading and the point went completely over your head so I'm not even going to read the rest of your garbage. Please "chill out" and have a nice day. Oh so "feedback time", a regular player is going to take in that feedback and do what...? Stop acting so dumb, you wanted the mapcrew's attention to sit here and argue with them over something which is not even a problem. Again, I don't think you can complete the maps because you wouldn't bring it up if you had such a big problem with it. Complaining that some basic universal map (which CAN be completed by the vast majority) shouldn't be added into a certain game mode because you, let me change that for you, so that you can understand YOU, dislike "racing style maps". Just for your knowledge, almost every map can be a racing style map if you wanted it to, depends how you see it. I'm surprised you haven't complained about the normal maps when a "racing style map" plays. Funny you talk about incapability to read then process to not read the rest of my points because you clearly can't. Face the truth, when someone is correct and has countered all your stupid arguments, you decide to become a little kid and ignore it. I'm pretty chill as a matter of fact, it's you that seems butthurt and can't accept the truth. Next time, just don't comment back, thanks. Dernière modification le 1575391020000 |

Yumyum a dit : Since you seem to be completely incapable of understanding something very simple let me spell it out for you: my original post was for the admins. Extra emphasis added just for you. Was that so hard to understand? Please feel free to "stop acting so dumb" at any time. Or not. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. Yumyum a dit : What you choose to believe is in this regard is completely irrelevant. I have already stated why I have a problem with it. If you have a problem with that then that's your problem, not mine. Yumyum a dit : AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA I legitimately laughed when I read this. Thanks for that. I'm not buying that at all. Especially not in regards to 2 of the event maps where, when they showed up, I consistently saw only 3-4 or less completing them in rooms with 20+ players. I know from actually watching people play that, even when there aren't events, many of players can't do cornerjumps at all. Hell... even when I'm in Racing doing quests I see half or more of the players in there fucking up cornerjumps. And don't even get me started on turnarounds. So don't give me that "vast majority" bullshit. Dernière modification le 1575493920000 |
