For new players, it gives people the ability to check out the game without creating an official account. I like how you can still browse the shop for any items you might like, for if they create an account. I played as a guest for an hour before making my first account on Transformice. Though your accomplishments are short-lived and are not saved, I think it was worth it. New players can just play as a guest until they decide whether they like the game or not, and whether they want to create an official account or just leave the game. Although when a new guest is shaman, and a bunch of people aren't even giving them a chance, I admit it's a little unfair. At least give them a chance to learn the basics of shamaning for a head start if they decide to sign up for an account.

Sometimes, though, guests can be pro players in disguise. Many times to troll, or steal firsts. If a guest seems to be doing pretty good, and knows what he/she is doing as shaman, they are probably not very new. Or it may be because they are unable to connect to the game, like a few weeks ago, I believe, most players were on as guests because of a server or something was down? I forget which topic mentioned it, but oh well. I once saw a pro player obviously disguised as a guest once. They were on there to troll, apparently, and steal firsts/send the firsts to waste. This was in Bootcamp a few months ago. But if a guest's trolling is disruptive, just voteban.

I like the guest feature. It is helpful. But due to being able to make a dirty/inappropriate guest name, and how the feature can be abused, I don't think guests should be able to create a name. It would save alot of time being spend reporting inappropriate guest names. But a few weeks ago, I did see this respectful guest. Whenever they were first to the hole, they'd stop and wait to be second because they seemed to understand that the first would be wasted if they got it, due to any accomplishments earned on a guest status is not saved. Though trolling is fun and part of the game. Sometimes, though rarely, I go on as a guest to troll. I don't steal firsts, but I guess I'll try to screw up the shaman's build :P. It's quite fun to troll when you're bored. It gives something to do. Though I hate how alot of minigames auto-kill guests, though I can understand why guests are not allowed in some minigames in Transformice.
