As I said in another thread, this is a classic example of people hating on a brand new update. It has only been exactly 1 day, or in fact, less than a day and people are already hating on this thing as if it actually affects you. People are giving this system absolutely no chance, instead, they are hating on it, without even giving valid arguments as to why it should be deleted in the first place.

I respect everybody having their own opinions, that is completely fine however please do give a valid argument as to why you aren't supporting this, instead of being enraged over something that barely affects you. Instead of hating on a brand new system, try to think of ways to improve this and soon learn how to adapt to these changes, as the admins will mostly likely never remove it.

Incorrect - there are people giving this system a chance except with changes. If you really want people to like the system then give off reasons why it's good and why it shouldn't be changed?

1) This like and dislike system is a great way for people who don't really like to comment, to support their decision on a topic. This could also be useful for people who are just browsing through the suggestions list who don't really know what to say about a certain topic. While a general discussion about something is usually better, this system would help get rid of the hoards of /support, /half support, no support comments.

2) The prestige system is another good system, as it helps motivate players to engage into topics for "points" to prestige. While its not the best system for encouraging players, it is still a system nonetheless.

3) For international threads, such as when the mapcrew or the admins make an announcement, there is a very big difference in languages, as there are so many different language servers in the game. The like system can help bring a closer conclusion when it comes to getting opinions from the public, instead of having a bunch of different people having to read a bunch of different languages.

4) The Atelier801 forum is catching up to other forums around the internet. Almost every forum that I have visited on the internet, had some form of liking system. This isn't that important however it will help bring some familiarity when players are trying to understand how this one works.

I never said everybody was bashing this system, I just said people in general as it pretty much rounds up the majority of this thread supporting to get rid of this.

Of course, this new system is not perfect, as I support people recommending changes and knowing this system does need changes, however it has only been one day so far, not enough time to go and judge something imo.
