Story of how I found out:I started my gamepad to play Super Metroid, and next thing you know, my analog stick acts all wonky. So, I check Splatoon for the same problem.

Problem: Inkling moves after I stop controling it. CAN'T CHOOSE TURF WAR.

I probably wont be able to play Sploon, unless I get another Wii U... but it's too expensive. Of all days, couldn't it have happened after Splatfest?

Any tips on how I can fix my analog stick?

You can try resetting your analog stick to a nutral position

Edit: I actually can play Splatfest! However, i'll have to use the D-Pad on other games that can use it.
